Apologetic documentary on extremely influential journalist Ibrahim Sued, who created mottos, had easy access to the most powerful and famous people in Brazil and also internationally, attracted all attentions, inaugurated a style of written gossip columnism and TV show. Stories of sexual affairs with celebrities, his idiosyncrasies, his family background, colleagues who he led, the jobs he had (it was a surprise for me knowing he has been an excellent photographer!) are also addressed. Anyway, while obviously aknowledging his importance in Brazilian communication and despite everything in the film being presented in a positive way, I still cannot like this guy. Even when he did inform, there was a depolitization bias, together with praising the unimportant. That is precisely why he had that effective soft power, during reactionary military dictatorship and in quite biased journalism companies. Harassment over his assistants and anti-left mockery including support for military coup and regime (although not favouring torture and helping some victims) do not help to change it.
