It's pretty simple to explain without using a bunch of elegant prose. You have a thirty minute "sketch" comedy program with bland political jokes and bad comic delivery. It airs on a channel called The Blaze owned by a guy even Fox News got freaked out by. Brian Sack himself has an eerie, poor man's Lorne Michaels appearance, except he is not funny. The comedians they hire for the show apparently are recruited at the Upright Citizen's Brigade improvisational theater in NYC. It's a shame, because as I am sure some of these actors have potential, their strengths and talents are watered down by the horrific writing. In summary, you have sketch comedy that makes the writing of the 1980-1981 season of SNL look genius, and you have it all crammed into a half hour. It's more like 15 minutes if you count all the political and propaganda-laced advertisements for The Blaze. It's desolate programming where any last remaining pools of wit dried up years ago. Lest us forget it's on a channel tailored to the viewing preferences of one man. It airs on Saturday nights, no irony there. Have fun!
