Characters share surnames with characters from The West Wing.
Aiden is played by David Tennent, who also played the Tenth Doctor on Doctor Who. Notice how the color of the front door of Aiden's home is the Tenth Doctor's Tardis blue and how the door resembles the Tardis. Having the door this way was obviously playing homage to Tennant's great work as the Tenth Doctor.
