This episode was also a strong continuation to this finale season. I hope it will not degrade in Volume 2.
The characters are evolved very well if we compare them to themselves in the first season.
This was excellent and outstanding and I have no words to explain my feelings and excitement.
The conversation between Will and Joyce was heartwarming. Last 20 minutes are literally intriguing and intense while the ending scene was shocking for me and I was literally full of happiness and hope. And that Giant Wall was reminding me of Game Of Thrones and Attack On Titan. The Giant Walls are one of my favourite concepts.

What I really appreciate about the first three episodes is how the writers are taking their time with the story. Even though it's the final season, they're not rushing anything. We've lived with these characters for almost ten years, and the show respects that.
Look at what happened with Game of Thrones: major characters were killed off in the final season with no weight or emotion because everything moved too fast.
But Stranger Things is doing the opposite. The writers clearly want to give every character-whether they live or die-an ending that feels earned and meaningful. They're aiming for a true epic conclusion, and I'm genuinely happy about that.

The Turnbow Trap is one of the more fun and action packed episodes of the series.
Every character is involved, as well as new ones. Holly's fantasy story is becoming one of the most unique plot lines. Will and Robin are surprisingly taking centre as the best duo of the season.
Overall a great fast paced episode, does end abruptly but the final reveal came sooner than expected and was very exciting.
Rating: 88%

I gotta admit that the ending took me totally off guard. Besides that, the rest of the episode was terrific! The last fight sequence was especially great, and I found the direction as a whole to be a lot slicker than the previous two episodes. The Turnbows are some of the funniest characters in the entire show.
Excellent episode! It 100% delivers on the Stranger Things charm. I got lots of Season 1 vibes from this.

Every fiber of my science fiction and fantasy loving body is SCREAMING at this episode! The references, cinematography, use of color and tone variation is sheer perfection! This is Aliens and Back to the Future meets Alice in Wonderland and Lord of the Rings!! A call back to a lightness and adventure of season one with the twists of season 4!
This is really building up to something. Holly has become a primary character in this season and her disappearance is the catalyst through ep. 3, but all of the performances have been terrific. It's been a tad slow-moving at times, but the suspense is building incredibly well. I hope in ep. 4 there is some sort of resolution for parts of the story.
I'm not doing spoilers, but the reveal at the very end of the episode is totally worth watch just for what it means to one of the major characters. I believe the person who said "Hi" is not the same person we all know. That's all I will say. Starting ep. 4 now.

This episode is really starting to get into the stakes more and more, and I dig it
I thought the Turnbow house would have the majority of the screen time but they ended up having a lot less than I anticipated, but the action sequence in the house was very thrilling to watch, Erica's scene was hilarious here
Eleven and Hopper's upside down plot was also thrilling, the action and stakes here went insane, Hopper still got it at like 60 you love to see it, especially how Eleven has powered up
This episode was great and all, but yet again, the last sequence was the big part, something I actually didn't expect until I saw it, and I am so here for it
I give this episode a 9.3/10.

I can do not want to include any spoiler but it will be hard to explain without saying exactly why, this has been a massive payoff from the past two episodes and season 4, my original compliant was that season 5 so far felt good vibe wise but it was predictable and repetitive, well not any more not with this one, they really out did themselves with how 11 and all the others act, and there is a huge plot twist or not really huge but sure will deliver a smile towards the end of the episode, every scene makes you ask more inquisitions than you have answers and ensures massive setup without being boring, also they made multiple jokes that just hit the mark, overall best episode so far and not because the others were bad this one was just written to perfection and would definitely watch it again even when the show is over not just something spilling towards the end.
Pt. Holy's actress is insane so far for such a young age it always charm when she is on screen.

"Episode is quite good, the tension it builds is great, the rating it has is deserved, very good episode, it highlights the tension and drama, and the ending doesn't give away what's really happening, very good episode from start to finish, Mike and his plan are phenomenal, it has a touch of comedy and leaves an open ending for the next episode, I feel it's not better than the previous episode, but it's still solid, developing each story separately, Eleven and Hopper's and the rest of the group's"
This episode is the most engaging, amazing, incredibly written episode, like, ever. The plot twist at the end was so shocking and made me so excited to start the next episode. The characters are beautifully written and the plot line is extremely fun to watch. So many little Easter eggs that I never thought I would miss, but the Duffers ended up pulling everything together beautifully.
The episode tries to build tension around Will's plan to save the kid who Vecna identifies by "seeing through" him. The concept is simple: all the characters function like nodes in a shared network, so hiding the kid's eyes was supposed to block Vecna from locating him.
But here's the problem: Will himself is also a node in that same network. That means Vecna can still see everything through Will. So how does Will, the very person connected to Vecna, come up with the plan and somehow fail to realize that he's still exposed? The episode treats this as a twist at the end, but it feels less like a twist and more like a writing oversight.
On a positive note, the final scene actually landed really well and delivered some solid emotional payoff.

I was really sceptical when they said it would mainly focus on Hawkins again after the crazy location jumps of season four - but they really know what they're doing. And still there's room for action (El & Hop in the Upside Down) and the trap, new bonds (Will & Robin) and funny moments between Dustin & Steve. Erica's scene of bringing the pie to the house was probably my favorite thing about the episode, if it wasn't the huge plot twist in the end :)
This whole seasons has been one plot point rushing to the next. The writing wooden, the characters empty - I am reminded of the expression of the hype going to one's head. Barely any character development or resonance, the conclusion of the stories is being rushed through checkpoint to the next.
It may just be a slow burn and by the finale of the season there is a satisfying conclusion but as it stands, don't hold ya breath!

Rit of the show. The gang - reunited under dire circumstances - crafts a plan so clever and risky it feels pulled from classic horror-Adventure tropes, yet grounded with the emotional stakes that make this series resonate.
What stands out is how the writers let everyone play a part. Whether it's the tactical minds plotting in the shadows or the scared but determined kids forced to grow up fast, each character carries weight. The trap itself - a "Home Alone"-style setup in the Turnbow house - unfolds with tension so tight the viewer can almost feel the floorboards creak beneath their own feet. That moment when the Demogorgon appears, the chain of events triggered by the group's gambit, and the frantic chase that follows are executed so cleanly it's hard not to marvel.
This episode reminds why Stranger Things remains among the best-written horror/fantasy shows on television: it balances supernatural terror with human emotion, conflict and loyalty. The mix of fear and hope, of monsters and friendship, lands hard.
The re-introduction of old friends - and the arrival of new surprises - reinforces the show's enduring strength: teamwork, trust, and courage in a broken world. The Turnbow Trap doesn't just raise the stakes. It resets them in the most satisfying way.

Ground was established well in episode 1, episode 2 faltered a bit, but now things have turned around in a good way with the third episode.
I was most interested in this because it was directed by Frank Darabont, who barely directs at all anymore (sadly), but it still looks and feels like a pretty standard late-era episode of Stranger Things.
Things do feel pretty intense at this stage, and I'm both looking forward to and dreading how the mid-season finale wraps things up.
