Spoiler Alert !!! Minor Spoilers For Thunderbolts* Ahead
Thunderbolts* just dropped one final trailer—and it’s giving serious Avengers-with-major-issues energy. Let’s be real: the MCU has been feeling a little… blipped when it comes to major team-ups during the Multiverse Saga. Fans have noticed. Marvel’s noticed. And after Captain America: Brave New World didn’t exactly stick the landing, it looks like the studio’s ready to reload the big guns.
Enter Thunderbolts*—MCU’s messiest misfits, brought together by none other than shady mastermind Valentina Allegra de Fontaine. This lineup’s stacked with antiheroes who’ve walked the villain line. And a new clip just dropped showing the squad squaring up against the CIA director, and it’s clear—this ain’t your mom’s Avengers.
Now, after seeing the footage, I’ve got a solid theory on what’s going down with Taskmaster. Let’s just...

Avengers Tower is no longer, as Thunderbolts* reveals it has been renamed it, and it is one comic book fans will be equally excited and worried about. Fans were excited when the first trailer for Thunderbolts* finally answered a question MCU fans have had since 2017 — who bought the Avengers Tower? First mentioned in Spider-Man: Homecoming, fan speculation was rampant for years, with theories that it would be purchased by Wilson Fisk / The Kingpin or Norman Osborn / The Green Goblin. Many were certain it would be the location of the Baxter Building for the McU's Fantastic Four before their upcoming film was revealed to take place in another universe.
While the trailers for Thunderbolts* have already revealed that the former Avengers Tower will be a major set piece in the film, Empire Magazine confirms that Valentina Allegra de Fontaine, aka Val, purchased the building and renamed it "Watchtower." The Watchtower has a comic book basis,...

After years of disbandment, DC has finally reunited the Justice League, bringing their most iconic heroes back into action as a team. But this isn’t just a return—it’s a revolution. With the biggest roster in the team’s history, a cutting-edge new base, and a level of organization that will thrill even the most meticulous fans, this Justice League is unlike anything seen before.
The events of Absolute Power brought significant changes and revelations to the DC Universe, chief among them being DC’s premiere heroes recognizing the grave mistake of disbanding the Justice League, with the lack of communication and team cohesion nearly allowing Amanda Waller to seize control of the planet and prosecute metahumans indiscriminately.
Learning from their mistakes, DC's heroes decided to get the band back together, with fans getting their first look at this new iteration of the team—Justice League Unlimited—in...

Rest in peace to the Batcave, as DC unveils the revolutionary new headquarters of the Justice League–and there is no going back. In Justice League Unlimited #1, a new era begins for the team. Patterned after the critically acclaimed cartoon series of the same name, this new incarnation of the League has their own Watchtower, and it puts other superhero headquarters to shame.
Justice League Unlimited #1 is written by Mark Waid and drawn by Dan Mora. The Flash is giving Airwave a tour of the new Watchtower, explaining the concept of the team along the way. The League, realizing that “unlimited integration” was the right way forward, created living quarters for every single hero on Earth, if needed. One of the most exciting pieces of comic book news in the DC world is the reemergence of Justice League Unlimited. As part of its All In Initiative, DC is launching new in-continuity stories that pay homage to some of its best ideas. The most exciting example of this is in its Justice League Unlimited title, which hearkens to the golden age of its animated series.
From the powerhouse team of Mark Waid and Dan Mora, who recently worked together on Batman / Superman: World's Finest, Shazam!, and Absolute Power, comes a new phase of DC's new era with Justice League Unlimited, the new Justice League title from DC Comics. With a full roster of heroes including classic members like Batman, Superman, and Wonder Woman to lesser-known heroes like Star Sapphire, Captain Atom, and Nightwing, almost every DC hero is likely to play a starring role.

Battlestar Galactica revolutionized sci-fi TV by proving that space-centered shows can also focus on human relationships, politics, and religion, making it relatable to a wide audience. Star Trek: Discovery drew inspiration from Battlestar Galactica with its war plotlines and shared actors, showcasing the impact of Battlestar Galactica's success on the sci-fi genre. The Expanse and Lost in Space both feature similar themes and storylines to Battlestar Galactica, highlighting the influence of the series in shaping subsequent sci-fi shows.
In 2004, Battlestar Galactica hit the television scene and made some serious changes to people's ideas of what sci-fi can be on television, and unsurprisingly, this paradigm shift led to the creation of many more inventive, important, and entertaining sci-fi and space series. 2004's Battlestar Galatica is a reboot of the original 1978 Battlestar Galactica. Though the reboot offered new plot threads and themes, the basic premise of the series remains: humans are...

Being able to get a project off the ground, to secure its financing and the talent to act in front of the camera is not the most challenging part when it comes to filmmaking, according to a statement by Turkish producer, screenwriter and director Pelin Esmer. Ever since the foundation of her production company Sinefilm, she has managed to make her features independently, without having to make any compromises to her vision as the creator of the story and the characters. As a result, her projects, documentaries and feature films alike, share a unique approach when it comes to human conflicts considering responsibility, relationships and guilt. In her 2012 feature “Watchtower”, she presents two characters running from a responsibility after having been through a traumatic experience, using an approach which does not emphasize the full frontal-drama, but rather looks for quieter, more subtle tones when it comes to her characters and their world.

Barcelona— Tasos Gerakinis’ “A Simple Man,” Pelin Esmer’s “Queen Lear” and Ignas Jonynas’ “Invisible” compose the pix-in-post selection for the upcoming Glocal in Progress sidebar at September’s San Sebastián Film Festival.
Greek director Tasos Gerakinis will attend with his feature debut, a Greece-France co-production following a convict who flees prison and manages to arrive in the neighbor country where he holds up at a farm, taking a winegrower hostage. The relationship between the winegrower, his daughter and the convict will evolve in divergent directions.
Turkish director Pelin Esmer has previously participated in San Sebastián’s main competition with “10 to 11,” a Special Jury Prize winner in Istanbul festival in 2009. She was also part of the Zabaltegi-New Directors section with her feature debut “The Play,” turning on three women aiming to stage a play in a small village. Amazon has dropped a new clip for Tom Clancy’s Jack Ryan titled “Presidents” on this Fourth of July.
Set to Bob Dylan’s iconic “All Along the Watchtower,” performed by British rapper Devlin featuring Ed Sheeran, the 36-second clip has no dialogue and focuses on title character Jack Ryan (John Krasinski) on the job battling terrorism. It opens with Sheeran’s rhythmic guitar in the opening strains of “Watchtower” followed by memorable quotes from the inaugural addresses of Donald Trump, Bill Clinton and John F. Kennedy. We first hear the voice of Clinton, “Though our challenges our fearsome, so are our strengths,” followed by Trump, “There should be no fear, we will not fail”, and closing with Kennedy, “We stand today on the edge of a new frontier.”
Tom Clancy’s Jack Ryan centers on Jack Ryan (Krasinski), an up-and-coming CIA analyst thrust into a dangerous field assignment for the first time.

It took five weeks of episodes on the “American Idol” revival on ABC but we finally have the top 14 who will sing for your votes beginning on April 22. We asked you which of these are the early favorites to win season 16, which is hosted by Ryan Seacrest. Four of the finalists – Gabby Barrett, Cade Foehner, Jurnee and Ada Vox — are the only ones to register double digits in our poll. Each was a clear favorite for at least one of the three judges: Luke Bryan, Katy Perry and Lionel Richie.
None of the other 10 other artists in the Top 14 — Jonny Brenns, Marcio Donaldson, Caleb Lee Hutchinson, Garrett Jacobs, Mara Justine, Dennis Lorenzo, Maddie Poppe, Michelle Sussett, Catie Turner and Michael J. Woodard — merited more than nine percent of the vote. Are we underestimating one of these talents?
