The first episode, it didn't really appeal to me. I thought it was going to have cruel or stupid humor, and be offensive, as so many cartoons now days are. And don't get me wrong, it kind of does have cruel and slightly offensive humor.
It isn't stupid though, which is a good thing. There is character motives and development. It's good to see a show with this quality. The characters actually have a reason to do the things they do, rather than just forced for the plot.
The show is about an archeologist and his assistant. In this world the archs are like celebrities. There is a subplot where the main guy is responsible for his girlfriend's death, while being betrayed by his previous assistant. Anyways, it's a comical version of Indiana Jones or Romancing the Stone, treasure hunt type adventures.
The comedy is pretty good. It can be hit-or-miss. But there are so many jokes, some of them can't help but land. The talkinng is very fast, with like 10 jokes per second. Lol
I really like the female assistant. Her voice really has a Melissa Galsky (Home Movies) quality. I thought it was her, and had to look her up, to realize it wasn't. Anyways, I loved her in Home Movies, and this girl acts and sounds like her.
All in all, I recommend this show. It isn't super good or even really memorable. It is entertaining though, and even rewatchable. I've rewatched most of the episodes, multiple times. Though the episodes are self contained, there's also an overarching story. I am excited to see where it goes. I think this show has a future. Give it a chance. Though, I do recommend watching at least a couple episodes before writing it off. It took a couple, for me to get int it.

I enjoyed watching this, it may not be the best thing around but it does have its charms. I really like how Digman sounds like Nick Cage in one of his more outrageous moments because that's exactly how the character is. Some moments are stupid and some are stupid funny. I enjoy that it has a good serialization going from one episode to the next and the story does make sense if you don't think about it too much. With humor its hard to tell but if you can get through the first few episodes without feeling like your forcing yourself to watch you should have at least a good time watching the rest as it doesn't change too much.
I loved it.
Someone who loves archeology and history, it really clicked.
Some inside jokes and so, but generally anyone can like it.
Its goofy and aimed at adults. I first thought it was going to be a kids show as it is a Disney series.
But nope. Its more like Family Guy, American Dad, Inside Job, Rick and Morty. I guess more toward Rick and Morty because the episodes seem to be adventures.
But yea, its goofy like that.
Its about this deadbeat ex-archeologist who has been living in depression after becoming a widower and losing his job.
He gets an opportunity to get another chance of becoming an archeologist again and on his side he has this bright girl who does all the thinking for him and a monkey-like creature thats on crack.
I would recommend you guys giving it a shot and watch the first episode at least.
It has cursing, drugs and so, so maybe not good to watch with your kids.
I mean, I would if I had a kid, but just want to warn you.
Looking forward to more episodes!

I am utterly baffled by some of the reviews here. This show was hilarious, with nonstop quips that made me laugh out loud, not just slightly smirk. I can only imagine that the people giving these crazy low ratings are stuck up prudes who don't enjoy silly humor. If you've ever enjoyed anything of Andy Sandburg's, you're going to absolutely love this show. Tim Robinson's comedy really shines through as well in a very enjoyable way. Eight episodes was not enough!
That's all I have to say about that. This character count requirement is really annoying though. What's wrong with a shorter review? Like anyone every things, gee, I wish they'd drawn this review out longer with superfluous information that could have been summed up more succinctly...

Well shortly after my review of Oddballs the Netflix series, I finally got what I was looking for afterall. Digman takes notes from Danger Mouse 2015, The Loud House and Buddy Thunderstruck and acts as a done-right version of Scaredy Squirrel. The characters actually have arcs and motives for their actions and are justified by who they are as the series progresses.
The adventures that Rip and Saltine go through feel like actual adventures and have a unique comedy twist for each one. Hopefully, this one would last more than 2 seasons because it THAT good a series.
BTW, Saltine is easily the best character as she's basically Sid Chang.

I began watching DIgman with modest expectations, and unfortunately, those expectations were met. The humor in the series is filled with cheap and immature jokes that fail to impress.
The only thing that made me laugh (sarcasm) came in the form of the portrayal of Italians in the second episode, which provided some amusement (sarcasm). It is, however, disheartening to see how poorly the writers depicted the people from the Northeast region of Italy, particularly the Venetians. Representing them with predominantly brown or olive skin tones shows a clear lack of cultural understanding. It is evident that the writers have not ventured far beyond their own homes. While some may take offense, as an Italian myself, I find the ignorance displayed rather comical.

If you liked the idea of national treasurer with Nicholas Cage, this is basically an knock off with Andy Samberg playing an exaggerated version of Nicholas cage. It is a pretty silly show but each episode plays office historical artifact and some type of silliness and jokes regarding A+. You pretty much know exactly what you are getting based on that description, surprised anyone is shocked in the reviews.
Pretty consistent with any type of the knee Samberg humor, pretty good voice were pretty silly and pretty funny overall. Great he with some Estrace and emotions overall. And good for Andy Samberg for not breaking Nicholas cage character at any point.

The pacing of this show is so snappy and I am finding myself constantly laughing out loud at the jokes and really paying close attention to catch them all. I also absolutely love all of the tiny easter eggs and tributes peppered into each episode. If you're just looking for a fun show to pull you away from reality for a bit, Digman! Hits all of the marks.
I really don't get the negative reviews. It's something new, fresh, and charming. You can absolutely tell how much fun the entire cast and crew had working on this. It may not be the most well written, groundbreaking animated show to ever grace the world, but it's just a plain fun show to watch and sometimes those are the shows that really hit the spot. I hope to keep seeing more!

The show is hilarious. Joke after joke, the writing is so good. Y'all sleepin on this for real. Tim Meadows always brings humor and life to whom ever he voices. Despite Andy Samberg producing and voicing the main character, he sounds like Nicholas Cage which is even more hilarious. If you enjoyed National treasure and Indiana Jones you'll like this show for sure, it's an all around great watch. Not sure where all the hate is coming from, it's like half the adults who watch adult cartoons don't even know what's funny. So if you're reading this thinking Andy Samberg is gonna ruin it for you, think again. So FUNNY!

If you saw the ads and commercials for this show and found them to be hilarious, then this show is for you.
I saw them and didn't laugh or chuckle once. However, I tried the show anyway. Little did I know, the commercials were literally the funniest parts of the show - which is to say not funny at all.
I'm always amazed how shows like this get made, but then I guess even watching paint dry is entertaining for some. The real tragedy is that this is aired on "Comedy Central" which hasn't had any original show produced that is actually funny. If not for South Park they would have gone out of business a long time ago.

I thought the show was great. They clearly put a lot of work into throwing as many jokes as they could into the writing. I love that the show doesn't try to get deep or meaningful or serious, there's too much of that in the world. The show is just good fun.
Andy does an amazing job as usual but his assistant was really fantastic and really lifted the show. I love the storyline - the idea that "Arkies" are like rock stars. I feel like he could tone down the Nic Cage stuff but it really works for the character...otherwise I guess it would just be Andy being Andy.
After one episode I am genuinely interested and seeing where the story and characters go.

This show is concrete proof that just because an animated show has talented voice-over artists, doesn't mean the show itself is good. That might be why they advertise the voice actors so much in the bumpers. The dialogue comes off as abrasive. Samberg really flexing his "creatively bankrupt" muscles with this.

Positives: The show has a good concept, and I particularly enjoyed the ending of the first episode. The voice dubbing cast is outstanding, featuring several actors from Brooklyn Nine-Nine and even Daniel Radcliffe from the Harry Potter movies. The episodes are short, and there's no laughter track.
Negatives: It would have been better if all episodes were released on the same day.
There are several archaeologist terms that may be difficult for the average viewer to understand.
While the show has its moments, it could have been funnier, and the side characters could have been better.
After watching 4 episodes, I have decided to skip this show because it has become boring and unwatchable.

It's a funny show, plain and simple. The characters are hilarious, the writing is decent, the direction is good, and the voice acting is great! I especially love Andy Samburg as Digman; his Nicolas Cage impression is spot on and very funny. The show also checks boxes well without overdoing it. Overall I found the cartoon to be super funny and I hope to see more.
Let's see what else. I guess I could also add that the plotline foreshadowing future events was a nice touch. It makes me curious as to what's ahead while also being entertained by jokes. The nerdy girl character's healthy sexual appetite is a nice touch too. Keep it up!

This series is simply hilarious. It's not perfect and often drifts into silly comedy. But if you like (the old) Family Guy episodes and are generally a fan of animated adult humor, you should definitely give this series a closer look. The characters and their interactions with each other are just brilliant. Rip and Saltine are particularly noteworthy. Rip seems like Nicolas Cage and his outbursts of anger are awesome. And Saltine is a lovable, nerdy character on the one hand, but on the other hand she's also quick-witted and smart. Mitra Jouhari voices Saltine almost perfectly and her voice acting never seems forced or unbelievable. The setting of the series is also fresh and different (apart from the more than obvious references to Indiana Jones or National Treasure): archaeologists are the new pop stars who are celebrated in the news and on the red carpet, and museums are the must-have for billionaires to show off their wealth.
I can't understand the many 1 ratings. Sure, the humor is often crude, there are lots of jokes about sex or masturbation, and there's constant swearing. Some scenes are also pretty questionable if you don't see them for what they are: over the top comedy. For example, when Rip gives a baby a beating, although the baby isn't actually a baby, thus putting the scene in a different moral light (which Rip also philosophizes about in detail in this scene). As an educated adult, however, you should be able to put this kind of humor into a broader context and recognize it as subtle social criticism - or just as stupid humor.
The series definitely has potential and I'm already looking forward to a second season. Maybe the creators will then iron out some of the flaws from the first season. For example, I find some of the characters rather less appealing, such as Quail Eegan, who is something between Elon Musk and Taylor Swift: multi-billionaire and archaeology pop star (in the broad sense). For me he just doesn't look authentic. And the story with the puff people was a bit too childish. The same goes for the yetis. The series initially gave the impression that it could be a normal society that just happens to celebrate archaeologists. Yetis and gnomes just don't fit into that picture.

I'll start by saying I love Andy Samberg, but this is bad. It's Andy just doing a bad Nicholas Cage impression the whole time. I honestly think since Rick and Morty came out, every animated show tries to kind of copy their extreme humor and be more extreme thinking that means funny. And it isn't. I did not laugh once during the first episode I just kind of cringed the whole time.

Stupid characters, stupid unoriginal tale spin wannabe, outdated boring overused animation style, "dad jokes" would be a massive understatement on how bad the jokes are, unfunny voice actors, Andy Sandberg, really? Andy Sandberg? Is the main character a person who has destroyed everything he has been in with over hyper immature unoriginal jokes. Velma, digman wow what horrible unoriginal show is next for 2023. Watch the trailers, and than realize what you just saw were the funniest jokes In the show . Of course comedy central released this garbage, the channel that has played the office, south park, parks and recs, and 50 first dates everyday for the past 20 years. Poor south park pretty much has now lost its spine from carrying comedy central all by themselves for decades. I hope one day artist can go back to making art and not executives for fast food and shoe companies.

Genuinely not bad at all, actually funny, fast pacing, fun evvironments, gadgets, etc. Not a bad show at all with some cool plot elementd and characters that change over time. Idk why its review bombed and doing so poorly, im assuming its because of the bad first episode with no one watching further. Give shows at least 3 episodes before revieing them online, its fine to drop them, reviewing a show based off just the first ep makes no sense, make it at least 3 episodes in before ruining it for everyone elese by review bombing the show.

The literary references, puns, idioms, anecdotes, and cultural references are numerous and surprisingly smart.
Andy Samberg's Nic Cage-like voice may make it seem like just another silly animated show, but to those who actually pay attention, you'll enjoy it.
The voice actors are superb.
Sari, not sorry.

I wish people could sue for time lost. Two episodes in on Digman and I've regretted every single second. It's worse than awful. You would think a show on Comedy Central would at least be a little funny. Digman has zero laughs. The writing is abysmal. Whoever is writing this garbage is stealing money. Over the years, Comedy Central has had more than It's share of flops, probably more than all other networks combined, we the viewing public continue to watch because of their rare hits. Digman is their worst flop yet. Not interesting, not funny, and they beat their cute little catch phrases to death. Comedy Central, do yourselves and everyone else a favor and put this atrocity in the bad idea file. Just end it.
