A&E Bates Motel: “The Bates Motel is open for business in San Diego! Executive producers Carlton Cuse (Lost) and Kerry Ehrin (Friday Night Lights) will release new footage from the highly acclaimed A&E drama series Bates Motel exclusively for Comic Con attendees. The executive producers will be joined by the cast, including Academy Award nominee Vera Farmiga (Norma Bates), Freddie Highmore (Norman Bates), Max Thieriot (Dylan), Olivia Cooke (Emma), and Nestor Carbonell (Sheriff Alex Romero) to discuss the show’s unique backstory and creation. Fans will get an opportunity to hear more about season 2, debuting in 2014 on A&E, and will have a chance to ask the cast and creators questions during a Q&A.

Tomb Raider is now available for PS3, Xbox 360 and PC. In a new video, some of the staff at Crystal Dynamic, take the time to call out some of their favorite moments from the game. They wrote the last five James Bond films, and with three of the five being critical and box-office successes –so not bad statistically-, writers Neal Purvis and Robert Wade have announced they are departing the long running franchise. This does not come as a surprise though, if only because it was confirmed a few weeks ago that John Logan –who co-wrote the latest Bond flick Skyfall with the writer’s- was verified as the screenwriter for Bond 24, which should bow in 2014. There was also a rumor that Logan will also handle the writing duties for Bond 25. And while other reports indicate Logan worked out a two-part adventure for those next films, no one will confirm that at Eon Productions or the two studios that finance the series now, MGM and Columbia Pictures. Another day, another adaptation. Next on tap is a cinematic retelling of the Dark Horse graphic novel The Strange Case of Mr. Hyde. Read on for all the details regarding who will be drinking Jekyll's concoction next.

According to The Wrap, screenwriter Albert Torres (Akira) has come on board to re-write the script for a feature film adaptation based on the graphic novel of the same name, which was written by Cole Haddon and published in 2011.

The Strange Case of Mr. Hyde follows Dr. Jekyll after he is allegedly rehabilitated and released from prison to help hunt a new monster who appears to be using an improved version of the infamous Hyde serum.

The film is being produced by Dark Horse Entertainment, Skydance Productions, and the Mark Gordon Company. The now classic characters Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde first appeared in a novella by Robert Louis Stevenson in 1886.

Screenwriter Albert Torres ("Henry Poole Is Here," "Akira") has come on board to pen a re-write of the film adaptation of Cole Haddon's 2011 graphic novel "The Strange Case of Hyde" at Dark Horse Entertainment, Skydance Productions and the Mark Gordon Company.

A pseudo-sequel to the classic Robert Louis Stevenson story, the action is set five years later with Dr. Jekyll in prison and allegedly rehabilitated.

Inspector Thomas Adye of Scotland Yard commissions Jekyll into hunting down a new terror, a monster that has been murdering prostitutes and appears to be the product of an improved version of the infamous Hyde serum.

Adding to the complications, it seems Jekyll isn't completely cured of Hyde either.

The film adaptation is being produced by Dark Horse Entertainment, Skydance Productions and Mark Gordon Productions. The story (which serves as a sequel to Robert Louis Stevenson's classic novel The Strange Case Of Dr. Jekyll And Mr. Hyde) follows Dr. Jekyll, after he is allegedly rehabilitated, and released from prison to help hunt a new monster who appears to be using an improved version of the infamous Hyde serum. Torres was also hired earlier this year to pen the screenplay for Silver Pictures' planned live action Ben 10 movie, and has also recently been brought on board to re-write Appian Way's Akira remake.

Godzilla is one of the longest running film franchises in human history. Since his introduction all the way back in 1954, he has starred in a whopping 28 films, cartoons, multiple comic book series from Marvel, Dark Horse Comics, and Idw, and numerous video games. He even had a star placed on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. Needless to say, he is a pop culture icon known around the world, despite the fact that most people probably have never watched a single Godzilla film. I myself have been a fan since I was a kid. An odd year for the once mighty juggernaut which can still pack 'em in. It had surprise success stories with "Once Upon a Time" and "Revenge", the latter becoming an unexpected international hit, and several shows have gotten renewals despite more modest numbers. Still, with it battling with NBC for the third and fourth position overall, the network has to introduce ten shows over the course of the season in the hope of getting a few stickers.

Several other pilots didn't make the final cut and won't be seen include the fashion label dynasty soap "Americana", ABC's update of the 90's "Beauty and the Beast" TV series, the Roland Emmerich-produced thriller "Dark Horse", the...

Last month, Sony Pictures picked up a spec script titled White House Down, written by James Vanderbilt (Zodiac, The Amazing Spider-Man). Sources say it sold for $3 million, a pricey purchase in the revitalized spec market and the largest sale of the year. At the very least, the buzzed-about purchase is a good sign that Sony executives are happy with his The Amazing Spider-Man script, and they are certainly willing to pay to make sure he is happy too.

Then, a week ago, director Roland Emmerich was reportedly in talks to make White House Down his next feature, all but promising his usual bombastic brand of large-scale action (Deadline). Emmerich is the same director who famously obliterated the President’s house in his 1996 blockbuster Independence Day and toppled more historical landmarks the world over in 2012 and The Day After Tomorrow.
