I actually liked this film. But who the hell was in charge of the music? The constant banging of bongos throughout almost made me give up halfway through.
This film could've been so much better with the right tone of music to go alongside the well shot and aesthetically pleasing scenes. The plot was predictable but still had me wanting to see it play out.
I always like the combination of dark comedy and thriller genres, some of the best recent thrillers have an element of humour and Clawfoot has clearly taken inspiration from this
Lead actress was great and would love to see her in more.
But please, fire the bongo guy.

No pun intended - we really feel for our main character here - not just because she is beautiful (though it does seem to cause her issues and problems), but because of the situation she finds herself in ... we are able to guess that something is off ... and I would argue we might be right about what we think is wrong and off ... just saying.
Having the offsprings of two of the most famous actors sharing the stage (film) is quite genius ... though we may feel inclined to root more for the daughter (Eastwood) than the son (Gibson) ... not that it matters when it comes to the outcome ... because I doubt the director would be listening to us in Germany about what we think about the movie ... low budget and has some logic issues .... but nothing too major to be honest.

It may look like a corny lifestyle thriller but it most definitely isnt. I put this on to fall asleep to, but I watched it and now I'm still awake writing this to urge people to not miss this gem.
It was awkward and frustrating to watch these characters until I realized what was happening. It had my full attention.
It's a dark comedy and it is really well done. As a contractor myself I was very angry at both of em but it clicked.
This is one I will remember.
Nothing overly complicated, pretty straight forward but you really feel for the characters. The actors did a great job.
Don't overlook this one.

If you can get on this movie's bizarre and other-worldly wavelength, I think Clawfoot has a lot to offer.
A movie split in two halves, where the first features a lot of set up. The second half paying it off quite well. The plot is good, but where the movie shines is in its directing, featuring a heightened reality, including unrealistic dialogue and conversations. But that is how this quaint and oddball reality is, and you just gotta go with it. It won't work for everyone, but it worked for me.
I highly recommend checking out Clawfoot, and I hope it finds an audience. Francesca Eastwood is excellent and seriously needs to be in more. She carries the movie, and the rest of the cast is also fantastic.
