In Netflix’s Toxic Town, Sam Hagen turned out to be one of the few people in the Corby Borough Council who was aware of the kind of evil that was festering within the souls of the bureaucrats. He was the first person to raise concerns about CBC’s land reclamation project to redevelop the sites once owned by British Steel Corporation. In the early 1990s, while working for CBC, Hagen questioned the council’s handling of the entire operation as he believed they were taking too many shortcuts to dispose of the toxic waste from the steelworks. But unfortunately, Hagen didn’t have any conclusive evidence to support his claims, and his complaints were shut down. It is to be noted that almost everything that we saw in the Netflix drama is inspired by real-life events, and the series has stayed true to the portrayal of Sam Hagen’s character,...

When it comes to TV relationships, the messier they are, the more we love them.
TV’s red flags are things we would (hopefully!) never accept in a real-life relationship but can’t get enough of in fiction.
There’s more than enough dysfunction to go around on TV; after all, what fun are happy relationships in your favorite dramas?
Enemies To Lovers Is King Among TV’s Red Flags (Rafy/ NBC)
Almost every TV show has a variation of enemies-to-lovers, and fans can’t get enough of it.
I bet most of us could list at least a dozen recent examples of this trope, which involves two people who can’t stand the sight of each other, eventually realizing that it’s not hate that drives their emotions. It’s love.
In other words, they were repelled by the other person because they were afraid to admit that they were attracted to them.

Spanish TV fiction producers are finding ways to navigate the rocky international scene thanks to increasing interest from foreign producers looking to co-finance in Spain, leveraging the country’s generous tax incentives.
Apart from streamer financing — which accounts for over 50% of total Spanish content investment, the highest in major European markets — the peak TV bubble has burst. Moreover, distributors worldwide are paying smaller minimum guarantees, broadcaster buyers are taking fewer risks and many players are commissioning fewer titles.
Solutions raised by Spanish companies include establishing beachheads in America, developing English-language productions and selling on the open market.
“Zorro” producer Secuoya Studios will develop and produce large-scale projects in English as part of its international expansion strategy, recently unveiled by CEO Brendan Fitzgerald, a former Sony executive.
The studio, presided over by James Costos, will operate multiple production fronts simultaneously to speed up timelines without compromising quality.

Sheila Carter lets out a blood-curdling scream as clues indicate she happens upon the lifeless body of her co-worker. B&b offers enough clues to now spin a theory. This theory makes both deaths accidental, as someone only wanted to make Tom look like a drug user to get him fired.

Simmering teen angst meets social awareness in “Red Flags,” an Atresplayer Original created by award-winning author and playwright Nando López, whose novel “The Age of Anger” was previously adapted for television by Lucía Carballal (“Locked Up”) and backed by The Mediapro Studio (“The Head”) and Atresmedia TV (“Money Heist”).
The project features within the second annual Next From Spain Sessions part of the Berlin Film Festival’s Berlinale Series Market, providing a first look at anticipated Spanish-language programming from industry heavy hitters that include the series producers Atresmedia TV and Zeta Studios.
“’Red Flags’” is a teen drama that portrays with honesty, and without taboos or paternalism, the emotional life of Generation Z,” Miguel García Sánchez, sales director at Atresmedia, told Variety.
“The series fearlessly explores the everyday realities of four friends, delving into their experiences of loneliness, interpersonal interactions and their strong fellowship created through social networks,” he continued.

Brittany Howard appeared on The Tonight Show to showcase her recent single, “Prove It to You.” Performing with a live band and two back-up singers, the singer emphasized the psychedelic vibe of the track with smoke and a hazy rainbow backdrop.
Howard released “Prove It to You” last month ahead of her new LP, What Now, which dropped last week. She described the single as “a fun four-on-the-floor dance track that makes you want to dance but at the same time lyrically looked at the complexities of being in a relationship.

Brittany Howard’s career has been one of ever-expanding sonic exploration, from the nakedly retro rock ‘n’ soul of the Alabama Shakes’s Boys & Girls to the gleeful eclecticism of her solo debut, Jaime. Howard’s sophomore effort, What Now, finds her once again stylistically untethered, exploring funk-rock, psychedelia, techno, soft jazz, new age, and more. Sonically, it’s a triumph, a delicately textured musical realm that begs to be luxuriated in.
What’s missing from the album is the same level of songwriting that elevated Howard’s previous work. There are a few standout tracks, but no burrowing hooks on the level of “Don’t Wanna Fight” or “Stay High.” The only time she comes close to those earlier songs is on the propulsive “Red Flags,” its circular melody continuously building in intensity as Howard recounts a toxic relationship morphing from euphoria to abuse. Brittany Howard has shared another single, “Prove It to You,” ahead of her upcoming studio album What Now.
“My next song is one I’m really proud of,” Howard captioned a TikTok teasing the song last week. “It’s different than anything I’ve ever done but felt like a cornerstone of the new record. The band and I are excited to perform this one live for you all.”
On “Prove It to You,” which Howard co-produced with returning collaborator Shawn Everett, the Alabama Shakes singer goes full-on house. It’s backed by a chugging four-on-the-floor beat and a deep, heavy bass, as Howard takes on the persona of a disco diva: “Every time I try it comes out incomplete,” she sings, lamenting her inability to adequately express her love for her partner. “All I wanna do is prove it to you.”

Guevara had been scheduled to attend a press conference and award ceremony at the festival Sunday morning, where he was to accept an award from Filming Italy for Best Young Actor.
Filming Italy has reportedly canceled giving Guevara the award as a “precautionary measure,” according to media reports, pending the result of the actor’s case. TheWrap has reached out to Filming Italy for comment — the organization is unrelated to the festival itself.
A Spanish court must approve before Guevara is extradited to France. Further details on the allegations against Guevara were not immediately available.

90 Day Fiancé: The Other Way couple Kris Foster and Jeymi Noguera may not be together after they finished filming their 90 Day Fiancé franchise romance. The 40-year-old Alabama native Kris has been married twice and has two grown children. Kris saw an ad for a dating website where she found her “soulmate,” a 30-year-old Venezuelan woman named Jeymi who is staying in Colombia. She geared up to move to Colombia, where she would meet Jeymi for the first time and get married within nine days of arriving. However, they had split in the past when Jeymi was caught cheating.
90 Day Fiancé's Kris Foster, who lives with narcolepsy, had a habit of pulling disappearing acts on Jeymi. While this happened, Jeymi had found a new woman. They made up, but so far, Kris’ three-day stay in Colombia has been far from pleasant. Kris has dropped one bombshell after another on Jeymi.
