Food Network said it has started production on a new competition series called “Candy Land” that is based on the Hasbro children’s game and is hosted by Kristin Chenoweth.
The six-episode series features five groups of cake and sugar artists, who create showpieces in order to get a chance to win a grand prize of $25,000. The players must make their way through “Candy Land,” seeking out different flavors and unique ingredients as they try to reach their ultimate destination: King Kandy’s Castle.
The Candy Land board game entered toy stores in 1949. The longtime kids favorite has also given rise to puzzles and electronic counterparts.
“I’m so excited for the world to see these talented confectionery artists and the incredible set,” said Chenoweth, in a prepared statement. “And I can’t wait to wear a dress again.”

A post shared by Trisha Yearwood (@trishayearwood) on Oct 12, 2017 at 7:06am Pdt Some celebrities dress up as other celebrities for Halloween, and some dress up as their partners. Ahead of her upcoming Halloween special on the Food Network, the Trisha's Southern Kitchen host gave fans a glimpse of her costume in which she dressed up as her husband and country music singer Garth Brooks. And let's just say, the result is nothing short of amazing. Not only does she completely nail the outfit (facial hair in all), but she's even performance-ready with a headset microphone!

Gwyneth Paltrow is coming out with a third cookbook. Let us repeat: a third cookbook. Does one need yet another outlet for the actress to remind us that her life is far more put together than ours (conscious uncoupling not withstanding)? More importantly, do we really need another batch of recipes supposedly time-tested by celebrities?
It turns out, yes, we do. While there are plenty of cookbooks by celeb chefs, many of whom appear on your TV screen nightly, recently there haven't been that many food tomes by actors and singers. Maybe they’re busy doing other things (like acting or singing) or don't think we'll believe they can cook for themselves let alone us. In fact, Paltrow was quite humble when she admitted to Rachael Ray: "I really love doing it. It’s such an awesome side project that I get to do, and I feel really lucky that people bought the first one and...

Georgia native Trisha Yearwood still loves the comfort food of her childhood, so don't expect her to dump the dumplings anytime soon. But fans can expect to see a new and sensible approach to food and diet as her Emmy-winning Saturday morning Food Network series, "Trisha's Southern Kitchen," enters its fourth season.
The Grammy-winning country music superstar and New York Times best-selling cookbook author recently lost a substantial amount of weight, and Yearwood is looking forward to sharing some tips about that with her viewers.
