This is just an observation and speculation.
As any Japanese speaker might notice in watching this video, the Chinese woman who introduces Selena at the beginning of the video is not a native speaker of Japanese. She introduces Selena and then says Bo Bo!
Now, I'm just guessing, but I am willing to put money on the fact that the script said the following.
Okyakusama, dozo yoroshiku. Tsugi no singer ha Selena Gomez. [Bow Bow]. A rough translation is, 'Everyone/Guests. Welcome! Our next singer is Selena Gomez.'
Now if you ask anyone who speaks Japanese, they will inform you that 'bo bo' doesn't mean anything in Japanese. I think the original script is meant to instruct the actor to bow repeatedly, which was lost during the taping, or which perhaps the director left in ironically.
I'd love to have this little nugget confirmed. Thought it was a fun fact/trivia question.
