Channel 4 has picked up a new six-part drama currently titled The Gathering from the acclaimed writer and director Helen Walsh.

Set on Merseyside, the drama focuses on a group of teens from disparate backgrounds, each of whom could have committed a crime, along with their parents – who give equal cause for suspicion. The series is produced by the award-winning World Productions, which is responsible for hits such as the BBC’s Line of Duty, Save Me, and Vigil.

“We are thrilled to be working with the brilliant Helen Walsh and World Productions on this exciting series; The Gathering which forms part of our strategy to commission drama which also appeals to younger viewers,” said Caroline Hollick, Head of Drama, Channel 4.

“Through this absorbing story, with Helen’s beautifully drawn, real, and relatable characters, the series looks at how family, friendship, and aspiration is influenced and shaped by the highs and lows of modern-day parenting.

Anne Heche's tragic death following a car crash earlier this month left many with questions.

Now, we have some clarity.

The death of the Men in Trees star at 53 has officially been ruled an accident.

The Los Angeles County Medical Examiner-Coroner released a report on Wednesday confirming as much.

Heche's cause of death is listed as inhalation and thermal injuries from a fiery car crash earlier this month.

What's more, the report states that it was an accident.

It says that Heche suffered a "sternal fracture due to blunt trauma" from the car crash.

Sternal fractures typically occur after the chest strikes the steering wheel in motor vehicle collisions.

Heche was behind the wheel of her Mini Cooper when she crashed into a home in the Mar Vista area of Los Angeles.

The car and the home caught fire.

It was so severe that it took 59 firefighters over an hour to control.

The Brave has an uphill battle to find an audience and that may result in this turning into a show that a lot of people wish they had watched once it gets a few episodes in and struggles in the ratings. It’s fantastically niche for a start, because no matter how much it tries to wedge itself into the mold of popular cop shows, special forces hits and extraction missions just aren’t everyone’s cup of tea.

If that weren’t enough, there is an air of the formulaic about the series which might not go over too well simply because the jump from the war room to the streets and back again reminds too much of too many shows.

Then we have to add in the idea that there are those out there who may be wishing that we would just stop trying to make Anne Heche happen.

Michael Landes (Save Me, Hooten & the Lady) has landed a series regular role opposite Lauren Graham in Fox's single-camera comedy pilot Linda From Hr in a recasting. Sounds like “The Lego Movie Sequel” is going to the business factory. “BoJack Horseman” creator Raphael Bob-Waksberg has been hired to rewrite the animated comedy’s script, the first draft of which was written by producers Phil Lord and Christopher Miller, who directed the first film. (Everything isn’t awesome in that one, apparently.) Variety first broke the news.

The move marks Bob-Waksberg’s first foray into film, though he previously worked on such shows as “Adult Hospital” and “Save Me” prior to creating his animated Netflix series. Rob Schrab is taking the reins from Lord and Miller, who are in the early stages of their Han Solo spinoff. Released in 2014, “The Lego Movie” made nearly $470 million at the worldwide box office and received an Academy Award nomination for Best Original Song.

I blame Lost for most of the problems with Dig, USA‘s new investigation thriller, but frankly, I blame Lost for a lot of things.

The show is the latest entrant in the limited-run mystery genre, and revolves around Peter Connelly (Jason Isaacs), an FBI agent working in Israel, finding himself caught up in a bizarre conspiracy that spans the globe. Having caught sight of a redhead, who sticks out like a sore thumb among the crowds in Israel, Connelly follows her to the dig she’s been working on. It’s a massive archeological exploration of caves under the city. They stumble on an odd religious rite being performed by people who aren’t supposed to be there.

ABC has decided to deny admission to Members Only.

The drama, which was to star John Stamos, will not join the Alphabet Net’s midseason line-up as originally planned, per The Hollywood Reporter.

Created by Susannah Grant (Erin Brockovich), the series — conceived as an “upstairs/downstairs” look at the goings-on in a tony Connecticut country club — got a straight-to-series order in January.

Stamos was to play the billionaire husband of a character played by Natalie Zea (The Following). The cast also included Betsy Brandt (Breaking Bad), Boris Kodjoe (Undercovers), Luke Mitchell (The Tomorrow People) and Michael Landes (Save Me).

AMC's The Walking Dead is adding to its sizable cast. American Horror Story alum Alexandra Breckenridge has joined the zombie drama, The Hollywood Reporter has learned. See more 'The Walking Dead's' Most Shocking Deaths Sources tell THR that the actress, whose credits include Save Me and voice roles on Family Guy, will recur in season five with an option to be promoted to a series regular in season six. John Stamos‘ schedule just got a little busier, as he’s landed a leading role on ABC’s midseason drama Members Only.

Created by Susannah Grant (Erin Brockovich), the series offers an “upstairs/downstairs” look at life in an exclusive Connecticut country club. Per Entertainment Weekly, Bialik will cohost with Peter Funt, son of Candid Camera creator Allen Funt. The on-camera pranking series will debut Monday, Aug. 11 at 8/7, airing new episodes every night that week through Thursday, before settling into a weekly Tuesday schedule.

The hour-long thriller was created by John Scott Shepherd ("Famewhore") and will be directed by Scott Winant ("My So-Called Life", "Fargo"), Variety reports. The site describes the Tacoma, Washington-set project as “a thriller involving a monster mythology, two newcomers to the town and a fallen FBI profiler.” Winant and Shepherd previously teamed up on the Anne Heche half-hour comedy "Save Me" at NBC.

Anne Heche fans won’t have to dig too deep to find the Emmy-winning actress back on the small screen this year.

Heche (Save Me) has joined the upcoming USA Network six-episode action-adventure series Dig, from co-creators and executive producers Tim Kring (Heroes) and Gideon Raff (Homeland). She joins previously-announced star Jason Isaacs (Awake).

Dig is set and will shoot in Jerusalem as well as other international locations. The series follows FBI detective Peter Connelly (Isaacs) who becomes a murder suspect after trying to track down a religious artifact that could trigger an event that would change the course of history.

Anne Heche (Save Me) has been tapped as a series regular on USA Network’s six-episode event series Dig, an action adventure drama from Heroes creator Tim Kring and Gideon Raff, creator of the Israeli series on which Showtime’s Homeland was based. When it comes to "From Dusk Till Dawn: The Series," it seems that Robert Rodriguez is all about the big tease. With the cast fully in place, Rodriguez has been using social media to tease us with reveals, and we have a handful of on-set photos that he's been tweeting out.

Casting news continues to roll in for the From Dusk Till Dawn TV series and it has been announced that Wilmer Valderrama will be taking on the role of a crime lord:

Kate Walsh is making her way back to TV in NBC’s comedy pilot Bad Judge.

From both Will Ferrell and Adam McKay’s Gary Sanchez Productions and Anne Heche (Save Me), the single-camera project stars the Private Practice alumna as a hard-living, sexually unapologetic woman whose life on the edge is balanced by the fact that she also happens to be a judge in the criminal court system.

Earlier this summer it was announced that Robert Rodriguez would be developing a new TV series based on his vampire film From Dusk Till Dawn. The series will "explore and expand on the characters and story from the original film, providing a wider scope and richer Aztec mythology." It's gearing up for production, and now we know who is going to star in the series.

The supernatural crime saga will feature Robert Patrick (Terminator 2: Judgment Day, The X-Files) as Jacob Fuller, Madison Davenport (Save Me, Shameless) as Kate Fuller, Brandon Soo Hoo (Tropic Thunder, Ender’s Game) as Scott Fuller, and Eiza González as Santánico Pandemonium.

The Big C’s Darlene Hunt is teaming with YouTube star Shane Dawson for a weight loss comedy.

The pair sold a workplace comedy project titled Losin’ It to NBC. The single-camera half-hour, which is inspired by Dawson’s real life experiences as someone who formerly is overweight, is set at a suburban Weight Loss Center franchise that gets thrown into upheaval when its most successful client decides to share his inspiration by becoming a consultant there – only to then find himself promoted to manager by the end of his first day.

NBC and Anne Heche, whose most recent sitcom collaboration (the short-lived Save Me) crashed and burned, are giving it another go.

Per Deadline, Heche is developing a new untitled comedy series for the Peacock Net that would find her playing the sales manager at a department store’s beauty counter who questions everything about love and relationships.

Heche — who is currently recurring on The Michael J. Fox Show — will co-write the pilot script with her former Hung colleague, writer-producer Colette Burson.

Anne Heche is reteaming with Hung co-creator Colette Burson. The duo has sold a single-camera comedy to NBC as a potential starring vehicle for the Save Me actress, The Hollywood Reporter has learned. The untitled comedy, which received a script commitment from the network, centers on beauty department sales manager Poppy Blake, 43, who questions everything about love and relationships. Anne Heche has played serious and humorous, and mere word of her teaming with Michael J. Fox made it pretty clear which side she'd fall on.

Bouncing back on NBC after her summer run in its short-lived "Save Me," the actress started a guest arc on "The Michael J. Fox Show" Thursday (Oct. 10). "Hobbies" introduced her as Susan Rodriguez-Jones, a high-energy anchor brought to Mike Henry's (Fox) New York station ... and prompting a decidedly mixed reaction from him, given their past from working together in Florida.

He tells boss Harris (Wendell Pierce) that Susan is a "devil woman," having once left him stranded in the Everglades to steal the story he was working on. Blending elements of Girl With The Dragon Tattoo and Unbreakable, Broken Girl follows an antiheroine who must live with a body that has become both her fortress and her cage. One of the more notable horror directors of the last 30 years is Joe Dante. Having helmed movies such as Gremlins, Small Soldiers, and Holes. The director has also, over the years, lent his support, by way of taking on the role of producer, to several projects, the latest of which is the psychological horror film Dark. The first feature length film from writer-director Nick Basile, Dark is a horror film centred around the famous North American blackout that occurred in the summer of 2003. Focused on only two performers for the majority of its runtime, the film stars lead actress Whitney Able, who was one of the two principal performers in the Gareth Edwards feature Monsters and is thus no stranger to working in features with a limited cast. Able is joined by Alexandra Breckenridge, who has been seen in numerous tv shows such as American Horror Story, True Blood, and Save Me.

In an early buy, Fox has put in for development On The Farm, from The Big C creator/executive producer Darlene Hunt and Community co-executive producer Andy Bobrow. The single-camera comedy hails from Sony Pictures TV where Hunt and Bobrow are under overall deals. Written by Hunt and Bobrow, On The Farm is a “family-out-of-water” story about a New York dermatologist who moves his family to a farm in rural Kentucky in order to live a simpler life. Hunt and Bobrow recently worked together on Sony TV’s NBC comedy series Save Me, on which Hunt served as showrunner and Bobrow consulted. This marks Bobrow’s return to Fox where his comedy script Iceland went to pilot in 2011. Hunt, who as an actress recurs on Parks & Recreation, is with UTA, Mosaic and Joel McKuin; Bobrow is with UTA and attorney Ken Richman.
