Seriously, who wrote the script? Logic and sense are just going down the drain.
The plot was offering so much potential but the writers seem too lazy to expand and leave logic out of it. I will not give some examples as it would be spoiler alert. Some of the plots are just completely bonkers they actually pissed me off.
The actors are also pretty bad. Not sure if they are just that bad or if they couldn't do anything more from their acting talents as the movie is that bad.
It's simply absurd and stupid so I'm not sure if I would recommend it unless it's just for a guilty pleasure. I watched this on the plane anyway.

Nothing that hasn't been done before.
Rich hunting poor for sport... but it's a good way to spend 90 minutes.
A boat carrying migrants capsizes off an Italian island, some rich people help them, give them food and wine etc
The next morning they are taken into the jungle and told they are being hunted.
The only child is left behind as captive.
The bad guys have guns, the good guys have machetes.
Abit strange at the start when they have a 10 minute head start and are caught straight away.
Some pretty grim kills and a couple sadistic people playing a rather interesting game of hide and seek with a child.
Worth a watch.

The Hunted feels like a movie that should have been a short instead of a full length feature film at 90 minutes. The movie starts off with inserting you right into the middle of the action with migrants on a boat when it capsizes. Soon the migrants are rescued by Europeans another boat who take them in and feed/shelter them. Soon they realize that not everything is as it seems. They learn the Europeans are going to hunt them for sport. You can try and make out what the film is trying to say here but never quite really gains enough traction. Instead what we get is our the migrants running while being shot at constantly. The movie is difficult to watch with it's content and feels unnecessary. I am giving The Hunter a low 2 stars out of 10.
