Based on the classic Anton Chekhov short story "Marriage in 10 15 years' time", this film is adapted to fit modern day America. Jack meets with Paris at her home, to discuss the possibility of marriage. Unknown to Paris, Jack is merely a representative of his client. The two engage in a back-and-forth dispute over income, assets, and credit score, of which Jack finally reaches an agreement. Paris is instantly convinced of her future fiance and the "love" that they share.
