This is what I'd call a good Indy sci-fi. It's not fast paced and makes you think a bit about a few things. Overall a good film.
It drags a bit up front, but gets rolling mid-way through. Not rolling in the sense of a horror or action flick, just engages better and keeps moving.
For a first feature film for this director, it does show a few flaws and yes, it does have its weaknesses, but I am pretty sure this was not intended to compete with big scale block busters.
The acting is actually quite good. Yes, a few weak spots here and there, but hey - it beats watching a lot of other movies I've seen.
If anything I'd say the key art and trailer are better than the film, in the sense that they tend to convey an image that is not exactly what this film is: an enjoyable romp into some soft sci-fi concepts.
If you like the X-Files and small budget independent film, you'll probably enjoy this.
