TBS has greenlit Ground Floor, a new workplace comedy with a romantic twist written by EmmyR nominees Bill Lawrence Cougar Town, Scrubs, Clone High and Greg Malins 2 Broke Girls, How I Met Your Mother. The series stars Skylar Astin Pitch Perfect, Briga Heelan Cougar Town and John C. McGinley Scrubs. Ground Floor is being produced by Lawrence's Doozer, in association with Warner Horizon Television, with Lawrence and Jeff Ingold Like Father serving as executive producers. TBS has ordered 10 episodes of the series, which will premiere on the network in 2014.

Robbie Amell has joined The CW's Tomorrow People revamp.

The Revenge actor will play the character Stephen in the sci-fi drama, TVLine reports.

The Tomorrow People - which follows a team of young people who develop special abilities - is based on the UK series that aired between 1973 and 1979.

Amell's character is described as a "tortured" young man who longs to become normal. The 24-year-old actor joins Mad Men's Peyton List and Home and Away's Luke Mitchell in the pilot, from Julie Plec (The Vampire Diaries) and Greg Berlanti (Arrow).

Arrow star Stephen Amell - who is related to Robbie - congratulated him on his casting on Twitter, writing: "So incredibly proud of Robbie Amell #Family"

In a very competitive situation with all major networks bidding, I Suck At Girls, a single-camera comedy from Bill Lawrence and Warner Bros. TV, has landed at Fox with a pilot production commitment. It is based on Justin Halpern’s book I Suck At Girls, the follow-up to his bestseller Shit My Dad Says that was based on his popular Twitter feed. The half-hour comedy will tell the story of a boy becoming a man, and a man becoming a father, in a time before coming of age was something you could Google. Halpern will write with his TV writing partner Patrick Schumacker, with Lawrence supervising. Lawrence, Halpern and Schumacker will executive produce with Jeff Ingold, Lawrence’s development executive at his Wbtv-based Doozer production banner. Warner Bros. Hawaii Five-0 Season 3 guest spots are in the cards for Arielle Kebbel and Robbie Amell.

TVLine has learned exclusively that the 90210 actress and Revenge alum will appear in the same installment of the CBS cop drama, playing a couple who enter a fortune-teller’s lair and ultimately face what a source describes as “devastating consequences.”

Kebbel — whose other TV credits include The Vampire Diaries, Life Unexpected and Gilmore Girls — first revealed her casting on Twitter via several photos from the shoot.

The actor — who most recently portrayed Charlotte’s drug-peddling ex on ABC’s Revenge — has been tapped to guest-star in an upcoming episode of Pretty Little Liars, TVLine has learned.

Recently, I was honored to speak with Eureka creator Jamie Paglia and star Colin Ferguson by phone about the upcoming return of the Syfy hit. While I started with my curiosity about Colin's comedic talents in Eureka, we transitioned into what is on the horizon in the series' fifth and final season.

Both were very generous with their time and their answers. Here's what they had to say:

TV Fanatic: My first question’s actually part question and part compliment. In "Up in the Air" the facial expression and squealing that you do as you’re going through the window by far is one of the funniest pratfalls I have ever seen, I actually rewound it three times to rewatch it. Do you practice?

Colin Ferguson: No, We always try to push it as far as we can, and the funny ones are frequently the ones that go too far,...

Exclusive: Eureka star Salli Richardson and Greg Cromer have joined Roseanne Barr’s NBC comedy pilot Downwardly Mobile. Co-created by Barr, John Argent and showrunner Eric Gilliland, the multicamera Downwardly Mobile stars Barr as Rose, the proprietor of a mobile home park and surrogate mother to the unique people who live there in a challenging economy. Barr’s Roseanne co-star John Goodman co-stars as Rose’s buddy Buzz. Cromer will play Mr. Denby, a loveable hedge fund guy who recently lost everything in a Ponzi scheme. He’s taken his wife, Mrs. Denby (Richardson), on a “vacation” — to the trailer park — in the attempt to start fresh at the bottom. Miserable in her new surroundings, Mrs. Denby becomes Rose’s foil. This marks the first comedy series project for Richardson, repped by Innovative and manager Craig Dorfman. She spent the past five years on the Syfy series Eureka where she played Allison Blake.

This season, we had Eddie Cibrian (The Playboy Club), Jason O’Mara (Terra Nova), Hank Azaria (Free Agents), Kevin Dillon (How to Be a Gentleman), Mather Zickel (Man Up!), and Amaury Nolasco (Work It).

It didn’t work out too well for those guys, did it?

Fortunately, the failures of yesterday don’t seem to be quashing hopes for the (potential) successes of tomorrow. Bill Lawrence’s Like Father has rounded out its cast. The Fox comedy has tapped Scooby-Doo!'s Robbie Amell to co-star in the pilot, loosely inspired by the Cougar Town co-creator’s relationship with his own father.
