Summary
Reviewers say 'F*** Marry Kill' offers a blend of comedy, romance, and thriller, with Lucy Hale's performance and cinematography praised. Humor and witty banter are strengths, making it enjoyable for some. However, others find the mystery dull, thrills lacking, and plot clichéd. The blend of genres is uneven, with romantic comedy aspects more successful. Plot twists and character development receive mixed reactions, with some appreciating the ending and others finding it predictable. Overall, it's a decent, light entertainment.

Annoying
I never had a single laugh, every comedic attempt fell flat. It might be because of younger target audience but even when I was younger the comedy would not have worked. Every character annoyed to the point of hoping they would shut up. If only studios put more effort into script development before filming.
Fun
F, Marry, Kill is a rom-com murder mystery that's not to be taken too seriously.
The dating apps, dates and updating friends when meeting random is relateable and happens in the real world.
The reasoning for their actions and motivations make sense and I found the humour and conversations, felt like watching a bunch of friends and I laughed out loud several times.
Lucy Hale is fabulous on screen and I always enjoy her comedic banter.
If you can watch a casual film about a bunch of friends on shenanigans and be open to a 30-year-old woman changing her life, this is a decent watch.

"Good little movie" that don't pretend for more
I had this movie in my "gotta watch soon" list for a little while, like a few months at the least, and while i started my Halloween season program at the beginning of September, i told myself well this is about a serial killer so that can fit right?
Well... lets just say the movie is very ... very... scarce on kills and violence. Honestly 97% of it is off screen. Its really more like a "romcom meet murder mystery" but without much violence.
That said, im cool with that type of movies so its fine. The "guessing game" was fun and honestly the movie did a very good job at it. The romances with the different protagonists were good, with that "is danger lurking" factor chimming in. I seen Lucy Hale in a few movies before, romcoms mostly, and she has a good charming aspect that work great for theses.
The supporting cast was cool too. They didn't had "a lot" to do, but they did great for the scenes they were in.
Overall it was a "fun little movie". The kind of movie you watch once, you enjoy nicely, but you unlikely to come back to later. Perfect kind of movie for streaming apps basically. "Disposeable" but in a good way.
Gave me a good time so a 7 out of 10.

Nothing new, but enjoyable enough
You know what this movie is. Seriously, you've definitely seem something like this before. It's a cute but forgettable romantic comedy, with a nice little murder mystery side plot (because some murder is always good). And you know what? It does exactly what it sets out to do. It's not profound, or original, or particularly exhilarating. But it's entertaining, silly, and fun. I mean, if you've ever seen a Lucy Hale movie, you know exactly what you're getting into.
I'd argue that it's predominantly a romcom, but the murder mystery angle is really fun. It was definitely a creative way to spice up the genre. Again, nothing amazing here, but a good enough time.

Bland, but watchable...
While I was not familiar with the 2024 movie "F*** Marry Kill" from director Laura Murphy, I opted to watch it as I had the opportunity to do so here in 2025. Truth be told, I didn't know hat I was in for, and thus had no expectations to the movie. So I suppose that director Laura Murphy had every opportunity to entertain and impress me.
Writers Ivan Diaz, Dan Scheinkman and Meghan Brown put together a fair enough script and storyline, though the narrative was a bit mundanely paced. I was sort of missing more thrills and excitement in the movie. But the writers concocted a narrative that paces along in a monotonous pace, and there wasn't really a lot of thrills to be experiences throughout the course of the 97 minutes that the movie ran for.
I was not familiar with the cast ensemble in the movie, aside from actor Jedidiah Goodacre. And I do enjoy watching unfamiliar talents on the screen when I sit down to watch a movie. The acting performances in the movie were good.
A bit disappointing, but overall a watchable enough movie for what it was. It was, though, a somewhat forgettable and bland thriller.
My rating of director Laura Murphy's 2024 movie "F*** Marry Kill" lands on a five out of ten stars.

- TriviaNot only did Jedidiah Goodacre star in Marry F*** Kill (2023), a horror film with a nearly identical title, but he also played one of the trio of the men trying to secure a date with the main character, with one of them being a serial killer, in Woman of the Hour (2023), just like in this film.
- GoofsAs Norman is leaving Eva's apartment after their first meeting he says, "close the door behind you" instead of "behind me".
