With 2 or again attached to a movie title your expectations are higher but when it don't matches its prequel you have left with nothing but disappointment.
I don't know why Divya Khosla has started doing acting after her direction failed? She can remain a producer because she has to learn too much in acting and presenting herself as an actor in a movie.
Film lacks clarity in its purpose. Is it a friendship film? A love story? On broken families? Unsuccessful love? Youth Issues? Its really confusing to figure out.
Songs and Music of Yaariyan 1 was good but nothing original in the music and lyrics of this film.

"Yaariyan 2," directed by Radhika Rao and Vinay Sapru, serves as a standalone sequel to the sleeper hit "Yaariyan" (2014), directed by Divya Khosla Kumar. Despite the high expectations set by its predecessor's success and its memorable music, this romantic drama unfortunately falls short in several areas.
The movie stars Divya Khosla Kumar, Pearl V Puri, and Meezaan Jafri in the lead roles. The plot is convoluted and lacks coherence, making it challenging to summarize. The story kicks off with Ladli (Divya Khosla Kumar) being rescued from a forced marriage by her cousins Bajju (Pearl V Puri) and Shikhar Randhawa (Meezaan Jafri). Ladli is subsequently married to Abhay, who is disinterested due to a past love. In a twist of revenge, Ladli's former fiancé ensures that Shikhar's dream of becoming a motocross racer is shattered, leading to his banishment. The narrative then spirals into a chaotic mix of love interests, forgotten storylines, and missed subplots, ultimately culminating in a happy ending that feels unearned.
Divya Khosla Kumar, while successful as a director with "Yaariyan" and "Sanam Re," disappoints in her acting role. Her performance lacks the necessary emotional depth and expression, despite her beauty. Pearl V Puri's portrayal of the introverted and socially anxious Bajju feels forced and unconvincing. Meezaan Jafri, following his promising debut in "Malaal," fails to make an impact here, much like his role in "Hungama 2."
Yash Dasgupta, a renowned Bengali actor with a strong following in Hindi soap operas, delivers a performance that is as lifeless and uninspiring as his late-night soap opera characters. Anaswara Rajan, making her Hindi film debut at just 20 years old, likely hopes this movie is a temporary setback, as the disaster of "Yaariyan 2" could hinder her future prospects in Hindi cinema.
The film fails to offer even the guilty pleasure of being so bad it's good, or to redeem itself with a memorable soundtrack, which has been a saving grace for many T-Series productions under Bhushan Kumar. Instead, "Yaariyan 2" is a muddled and forgettable entry, lacking the charm and entertainment value that might have justified its existence.

It is easy to copy paste. No new creative. Same old remake story. Waste of time and money. Very Bad movie. Not recommended at all. Don't watch at all.
Poor direction. Bad story. Bad Screenplay. Too many characters. Boring Songs. Too many songs which is very irritating. Already a remake with nothing new orginal idea but that they are not able to copy properly. No proper plot just stretching movie by filling too many characters and music.
Yaariyaa 1 hit song blue hai paani paani is also ruined this time. Don't watch this kind of non sense movie with nothing original or new innovative idea. Invest your time and money some other productive activity.
Even sitting idle would be much better then watching this bad movie.

I am done and will not review this as nothing left for me to review. This movie sucks, acting sucks and story yukkk.
They tried copying the Bangalore Diaries and this is what an example of a bad, stupid, non worthy movie is all about.
Anyways this movie should be in the guiness book of world record for the most idiotic bad acting skills. The movie is about three cousins and their bond and friendship but what it had was bloody acting, stupid dialogues, baseless characters, and stupid expressions. The movie had nothing to offer and no takeaways from this movie and so I decided to stop watching this after 30 mins.

Meezan Jafri's charm and talent make him a perfect fit for the main role in Yaariyan 2, and I'm sure he will impress the audiences once again. It's always a pleasure to see actors like Meezan grow and evolve in their craft, and I'm excited to witness his growth in Yaariyan 2. The first Yaariyan was a breath of fresh air in Bollywood, and I hope the sequel brings the same freshness and originality. I'm sure he will impress the audiences once again. Subpar acting, Nothing new plot. Cringey.
What i don't get is why was this movie even made. Rather make a serial. Longer hours, longer run time, no much need of logic. Repetitive theme work. Perfect. So not worth to watch, wasted time and money. Part 1 was way better just rewatch it a couple more times than and you'll be good to go. I think the production of the movie was the best part, spent a lot of money and clearly there was no shortage of money to spend on the movie, the set and elsewhere, instead could have gotten some seasoned cast from popular serials and made one himself and kept it there. Not making us watch this ABOMINATION.

"Yaariyan 2" steps into the spotlight as a 2023 Indian Hindi-language coming-of-age romantic drama directed by Radhika Rao and Vinay Sapru. Produced by Bhushan Kumar, Krishan Kumar, and Aayush Maheshwari, this film serves as a standalone sequel to "Yaariyan" (2014) and ventures into the lives of three cousins navigating the complexities of youth.
The film boasts a cast representing the fresh faces of Hindi, Bengali, and Malayalam cinema, including Divya Khosla Kumar, Yash Dasgupta, Anaswara Rajan, Meezaan Jafri, Warina Hussain, Priya Prakash Varrier, and Pearl V Puri. Their performances largely impress, although Divya Khosla Kumar's portrayal leaves room for growth, particularly in connecting with her character's demands.
"Yaariyan 2" lays a strong foundation with its captivating storyline, delving into the intricacies of youthful relationships and challenges. However, its potential is held back by editing choices that extend the film's duration unnecessarily. A more concise and intense approach would have served the narrative better.
On a positive note, Ravi Yadav's cinematography shines with crisp visuals, enhancing the overall aesthetics of the film.
This movie, inspired by the 2014 Malayalam film "Bangalore Days" by Anjali Menon, marks the Hindi film debut of Yash Dasgupta, Pearl V Puri, and Anaswara Rajan. While it captures the essence of youth and the bonds of family, it could benefit from a tighter edit to maintain audience engagement.
In conclusion, "Yaariyan 2" is a promising endeavor in the realm of coming-of-age dramas. It introduces new talent and explores themes of friendship and romance. Despite some editing drawbacks and an occasional lack of character depth, it offers a glimpse into the complexities of youthful relationships. With potential for improvement, it leaves audiences with the anticipation of what these emerging stars and filmmakers will offer in the future.

No sense on the movie script, its just some usual dance and drama witch has zero emotion to the story. The direction was the worst of all, story was loose to its core.

I liked Yash's performance in the movie, I don't know why he was not given a place in the poster, I want to see more Yash in Hindi films in the future. Best of luck Yaariyan 2. You will laugh a lot after seeing the funny scenes.
Divya's acting in the movie is very beautiful, you will fall in love, Yash and Divya's love is very beautiful. Meezan and Pearl have acted well, Yash's performance will be very heartwarming, the movie has been narrated very carefully. The production coil is very nice. Movie songs are very good.. Yash Dasgupta 's performance is very good, he is the very talented actor.

I find it perplexing that this movie received a rating of 8 stars. In my opinion, the film suffers from both poor direction and a lackluster screenplay. The overall execution of Yaarian 2 leaves much to be desired, making it a regrettable waste of time for viewers. The subpar direction hampers the film's potential, while the screenplay fails to engage the audience and lacks the necessary elements to create a compelling narrative. Unfortunately, the combination of these shortcomings results in an unsatisfactory cinematic experience. It is disheartening when a movie with such potential falls short of expectations due to fundamental issues in its direction and screenplay. In conclusion, Yaarian 2 fails to live up to the standards one would expect from a film with an 8-star rating and ultimately proves to be a disappointment for those seeking a well-crafted and engaging cinematic experience.
