Ki & Ka has taken a good opening at the Box Office. As was predicted, the film was on track to register 40%-50% occupancy on Day One, and this is how the average footfalls turned out to be eventually. The film has collected 7.3 crore on Friday and this is a good start for the Eros and Balki production, considering the genre, release size and target audience that it was aiming for.

This is the biggest opener ever for Balki as Ki & Ka [7.3 crore] on its opening day has collected more than double of Shamitabh [3.5 crore] and is far ahead of Paa [2.15 crore] and Cheeni Kum [which had lifetime total of 17.3 crore]. The film has also taken a bigger opening than a much massy Ghayal Once Again [7.2 crore] and targeted-at-similar-audience Kapoor & Sons [6.85 crore]. Humpty Sharma Ki Dulhania is the latest romantic comedy from Dharma Productions starring Student of the Year alumni Alia Bhatt and Varun Dhawan. Mumbai, April 8: Actor Imran Khan, who has stepped out of Vikramaditya Motwanee's film "Bhavesh Joshi", says there was no "bad reason" behind his decision to leave it.

"I don't like to talk about reasons for not doing a film. It's disrespectful. There is no bad reason for leaving the film," Imran told Ians.

"There's something between him and me, so I don't want to disrespect anyone," he added.

Mumbai, March 6: Imran Khan says that he will start shooting for director Nikhil Advani's next after the birth of his first child.

Imran's wife Avantika will give birth to their child in June.

"The next film I will start is untitled. It is with Nikhil Advani. But we are not going to start until after the baby is born. I plan to spend some time with my family at this point of time," the 31-year-old said at a Vespa event here Wednesday.

Imran-Avantika dated for about nine years before tying the knot in 2011.

Meanwhile, the actor's last release, Punit Malhotra directed "Gori Tere Pyaar Mein", which also starred.

Mumbai, March 6: Imran Khan had been absent from scene since the release of his last film "Gori Tere Pyaar Mein" and the actor says he was on an extended vacation before his wife delivers their first child.

At a Vespa scooter launch event Wednesday, Imran revealed that he and his wife Avantika were away for a long "babymoon."

"I was on a holiday. From Christmas till two weeks back, I have been on a very, very long extended vacation. So, it's the last vacation before the baby is born. You obviously know that my wife is pregnant. So, we went on what is called a 'babymoon'," the 31-year-old said here.

Mumbai, Nov 22: Esha Gupta, who has done an item song "Dhat tere ki" in the forthcoming film "Gori Tere Pyaar Mein", is happy that she did the song.

"'Dhat Tere Ki' has got a good response. And thank god 'dhat tere ki' happened to me because it is doing really well," the 27-year-old said here Thursday at a special screening of the film.

However, Esha is not ready to do more item songs in the near future.

"Nothing right now. I am just finishing 'Humshakals'. We will start our second schedule. After that in June, I start my next. So no item numbers for now," said Esha, who made her Bollywood debut with "Jannat 2" last.

Mumbai, Nov 22: Actor Imran Khan has been awarded by animal rights organisation People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals (PETA) India for stopping a trainer from hitting a canine on his film set.

Imran was reportedly shooting for "Gori Tere Pyaar Mein" when he saw the dog trainer smack a dog. He immediately walked up to the trainer and pushed him in order to stop the abuse.

PETA has now sent Imran a Hero to Animals Award and a basket full of dog-shaped vegan gourmet chocolates prepared by Pune's Ambrosial Chockies as a mark of appreciation for his deed.

New Delhi, Nov 22: Special screening of the film 'Gori Tere Pyaar Mein' was held for Bollywood stars at PVR Cinemas in Juhu, Mumbai.

The screening was attended by lead stars, Kareena Kapoor Khan and Imran Khan along with their family and friends.

Post the screening, film-maker Kiran Rao complimented the 30-year-old actor on his dancing skills.

"I liked the film, it's a light film, some sections are really funny and songs are amazing. And Imran has danced really well. I have never seen him dancing like this, I was really excited," she said.

Meanwhile the 'Delhi Belly' star said he was looking forward.

Imran Khan has shot in the same of pair of shoes for the second half of his upcoming film Gori Tere Pyaar Mein. When asked, director Punit Malhotra said,“The second half shows Imran go to a village with just a bag, not knowing that he’ll be stuck there for long. As such, it was critical for him to maintain the appearance for the sake of continuity.
