TBH I wasn't expecting much from this movie. I just wanted a fun popcorn horror with the boys and this I liked the look of the poster. Yeah, it's a low budget horror, but I was pleasantly suprised. It seemed like a lot of thought had gone into it, the story was surprisingly good, with some great characters who were really interesting - not just the usual crazed killer fodder. It kept us on edge and there were some really good jump scares and shocks in there. Mister Sleep was pretty freaking creepy and there were also a lot of fun in jokes and references to movies like Halloween and Nightmare on Elm street, but it was really original and felt pretty on point, especially with the whole true crime podcast thing. It kept us gripped all the way through and that was down to the quality of the writing and directing (and acting.) Well worth a watch! I'll be watching it again.
I just watched Mister Sleep and have to say that I was pleasantly surprised. I read the reviews prior to watching and they were on both ends of the spectrum. I have seen a lot worse in horror movies, and this is not one of them. The storyline was consistent, there were no loose ends, and the acting was believable. It wasn't the worst movie I've seen of the genre nor the best, but it was surprisingly not bad.
I would give this movie a solid 6 1/2 out of 10. I like the character of Mister Sleep. It was something new and different instead of people trying to revamp stuff that's already been done. There was also a continuity in the story which I liked. I felt it was pretty entertaining.

Oh my. This snoozer not only puts you to sleep, it also serves you cookies and a glass of warm milk. It was rated 5.1 at the time I saw it, which had given me hope that this would at least be acceptable, but alas, Amazon Prime provided another steaming pile of 💩.
The acting is exceptionally poor, although having such a terrible script didn't help. I give it 1 star for simply existing, and one more for reasonable photography. But this was so impossibly BORING that I literally nodded off a few times, forcing myself to rewind back to where I'd left off. Seriously, this stinker has very little going for it, with the exception of some gore if you're into it.

Austin Rhodes executed his character perfectly, as well as the other supporting actors that don't get enough credit. This movie was very good for a low budget yet very skilled production company and a great group of actors and child actors. Watch Mister Sleep I loved it so much. The plot was actually unique and very well executed. I talked with my friend who has written iconic reviews for "The Room", "Jaws 2", and "Red Tides Don't Shine", and he thought this was very well made, giving it a 8/10, though he didn't write an iconic review for it, I'll sum up his opinion, "Executed great for budget" CHECK OUT THIS MOVIE!
Needless to say that I had of course never heard about this 2024 horror movie titled "Mister Sleep" from director Robert Hollocks. But given my love of all things horror, of course I opted to check out the movie and see what Robert Hollocks had to offer. I initially sat down to watch the movie without any grand expectations, so there was plenty of room for Robert Hollocks to impress and entertain me.
Writers Amy Rhinehart Bailey and Robert Hollocks put together a fair enough script and storyline. It made for an adequate enough viewing experience, though I can't claim that I found it to be anything overly impressive or memorable. Certainly not a bad movie, but you're not in for an outstanding horror experience. The storyline was somewhat slow paced and there wasn't a whole lot of thrilling stuff going on to keep the audience on the edge of their seats.
I was not familiar with the cast ensemble in the movie, which definitely was something that spoke in favor of the movie, as I happen to enjoy watching new and unfamiliar talents on the screen. I will say that the acting performances in the movie were fair.
Visually then you're not in for anything grand. A shame really, because it could have added to the overall enjoyment of the movie.
Watchable for what it was, "Mister Sleep" is a movie that you will most likely watch just once, then shelf it and forget about it. I know that it is definitely not a movie that I will be returning to watch a second time.
My rating of director Robert Hollocks's 2024 movie "Mister Sleep" lands on a four out of ten stars.
