While Mickey Mouse is no stranger to Christmas specials (as he has a lot of them, from movie-length specials like Mickey's Christmas Carol and the direct-to-video Mickey's Once Upon A Christmas and its sequel, Mickey's Twice Upon A Christmas, to the various Christmas themed shorts and episodes for shows like Mickey Mouse Clubhouse, and that one Christmas episode of the House of Mouse that was so big, it also went direct-to-video), Mickey Saves Christmas, released as a Disney+ exclusive, is a first for Disney's mascot, as for the first time, Mickey, Minnie, and their friends are portrayed in stop motion animation, the same method used by Rankin-Bass for their classic Christmas specials like Rudolph The Red-Nosed Reindeer and A Year Without A Santa Claus.
In this special, Mickey and the gang spend at a cabin, however, a comedic accident involving Pluto chasing a squirrel causes Santa to crash, and the presents for the kids of Hot Dog Hills sinking into the lake. Mikey and the gang pitch in to help.
Despite being the same length as an episode of Mickey Mouse Clubhouse, the special manages to pack in enough story and humor, as like the Rankin-Bass specials, it has a good number of songs, and even a good moral Mickey learns about the holidays. This is one special worth checking out.

Clumsy Pluto accidentally unplugs the lights. Santa crashes his sleight while trying to land on Mickey's cabin. Prancer gets thrown. Unbeknownst to anyone, Pluto takes Prancer's place while the gang joins Santa to return to the North Pole. When they discover Prancer's absence, Santa and Mrs Claus head out to find him. Mickey and the gang try to gather up more toys which only results in more chaos. They eventually find Santa's old sleight. They set out to save Christmas.
This is a 3D animated Mickey Mouse Christmas special in the style of the old TV Christmas specials. It's Mickey and the gang. It's not the greatest of Christmas specials. It's a lot of Golly Gee Christmas. It's family friendly. It's a bit bland. The songs are nothing special. It's average to its core.

It happens the second time that one actress was supposed to be there but left behind. In Mickey Mouse Funhouse season finale Mickey Guyton as Wanda Warbler was supposed to be appeared at Sunny Gulch Theater, but it turns out it was the Weasel Trio which that was unacceptable. In this New Christmas special Every article said Tress MacNeille is voicing Daisy Duck and when I watch it last night her voice sounds different so I look the end credits it was Debra Wilson. That broke my heart because I had a crush on Tress Voicing Daisy since Mickey and the Roadster Racers exist back in 2017. Overall the Movie is good If they lied about voicing someone again, I am just gonna just watch TCM.

Mickey Saves Christmas (2022) -
This was a sweet and simple little film that clearly showed the true meaning and fun of the festive season. The title was the synopsis, because Michael and his friends literally rescue the holiday, but to find out how you will have to watch it.
I liked the fact that they didn't blame Pluto for the accidents he caused, but understood that he meant no harm. So often the trope is one that alienates or isolates a character to be redeemed or forgiven later on, but Mickey and Co. Were all considerate of the need to be kind and consider another's feelings from the start, which I thought was a great lesson for younger audiences.
It was also bright, colourful, contained all of the favourite characters including Father Christmas and it just had a lovely warm and fuzzy glow to it.
I thought that it stood as proof that Disney still knows how to charm and create innocent and endearing pieces even after all these years.
737.89/1000.

Like all Disney efforts this short has the heart of kids in mind, but unlike the good productions this one has none of the restraint on over the top cuteness.
The music is harsh and garbled. Could nobody say to the producers and director "This is too much". Too many songs with no purpose and no charm. Caned generic not memorable of singable.
All the regular gang is here and for the most part they all play their respective parts, but something is not quite right. Donald has acquired a gluttonous trait and is going to the sweets at every chance. Goofy, the known harbinger of disaster, is oddly just a background player and neither helps or hinders the proceedings.
Strictly for the Six and under crowd.
