Snegir is a Russian drama about fishermen. In general, I treat Russian dramas coolly, they are usually shot too caricatured and try to squeeze a tear and pity out of the viewer. Also, most often they try to show only the dark side of Russian reality. But Snegir is about something else. Yes, a simple story, the cast is not one of the actors of the first magnitude (the exception is probably only Alexander Robak) and in general the budget for the film is not enough. But here everything seems native and familiar, realistic. Without blackness, as liberal directors love, without pathos as they like to shoot in Hollywood. Snegir is a great movie, it's a good men's drama. I advise everyone to watch it. Russian answer to the same The Finest Hours.
