Thank You For Coming review :
She's been looking for a frog to turn in to prince charming since her teens. At thirty plus of age, she's still not earned her orgasm. And that is after dating and mating with atleast half a dozen males, one of which is apna Anil Kapoor as a romantic shaayar twice her age.
Meet Kanika Kapoor (Bhumi Pednekar), whose life apparently revolves around satisfying her Gspot. Frustrated and unsuccessful at it, she finally agrees to settle with a richie rich goodie good dude (Pradhuman Singh), who is as straight as Bharat Bhushan of yore. Oh Bore!!
Finally, our Kanika aka Kannu experiences her first orgasm after a deep drunken party but unfortunately, doesn't remember whom she slept with. Was it her fiancé or the elderly shaayar or her bestie's curly burly hubby or someone else? Who gave her the satisfaction of a lifetime??!!!
The film's second half is dedicated to finding who the gentleman was... as Kannu goes about questioning her suspects, "Kya tumne?". It actually reminded me of Akshay Kumar asking similar thing to a dozen girls in Heyy Babyy (2007). But guys, that was a Sajid Khan trash and hence, utterly excusable!! Here, the proceedings get thoroughly monotonous and boring after the interval...
Bhumi Pednekar is an efficient actor and can rise above the script, given a good hand (pun unintended). But darlings, expecting her to shoulder an entire movie on her own, especially this one based on such a flimsy premise is taking things too far. About the rest of the cast, the less said the better.
Thank You For Coming tries to drive a point that seventy percent women in this world don't experience orgasm in their entire lives. Dunno how true or false it is!! If it is indeed true, the movie treats it so frivolously that it fails to register in any manner.
The climax offers a solution of "self help" as means to attain the ultimate sexual pleasure. "Aapla Haath Jagannath", it preaches unabashedly. But wasn't that the name of a blockbuster Dada Kondke movie of the '70s. Hmm, no further comment!!!
Regards, Sumeet Nadkarni.

Are they saying men would never be able to give pleasure to women, so women should learn to pleasure themselves? Or are they saying women who don't climax are 'defective pieces' - since they used this narrative repeatedly in the movie? Why not use this opportunity for actually providing sex education to our dear men?
Kusha's and Dolly's role is not mention-worthy. Bhumi has done a good job. And Shehnaz was good as well. I really like the music with some groove-worthy songs. I don't understand why Anil Kapoor was hired for such a subpar role.
And ofcourse, one extra star since my all time favorite song is a part of the soundtrack. Dil dhoondta hai fir wohi, fursat ke raat din..

Hats-off to the producers rhea and ekta kapoor to boldly go where hindi cinema has not gone before. The female orgasm.
As the film states 70 per cent of indian women go through life without experiencing the ultimate bliss she's born for. Still, dutifully she carries on giving birth to generations.
Onanism is considered taboo. Even in the 21st century there are absurd restrictions both social and religious that dehumanise masturbation for the male, quacks who call themselves doctors cash in on these ridiculous restrictions. It's blasphemy to think the superior half aka the female can indulge in self-pleasure.
Not anymore. Thank you for coming takes it up boldly. Looses steam in between but heats up in the climax. Karan baloni was given a script vicky donor worthy, unfortunately the result is not a masterpiece but a mediocre film.
It could have gone places but drags and drags. Bhumi is turning out to be a revelation. Playing kanika kapoor without a hitch. The remaining cast is also kind of okay. Anil kapoor is wasted.
The recent omg ii according to yours truly, the best film of 2023 had an apt ally in the making alas, thank you for coming, lost steam.

"Thank You for Coming" is a disappointing attempt at a sex comedy film. The movie's premise of five women navigating life, sex, and love had potential, but it falls flat due to poor writing and acting. The inclusion of social media content creators as leads did not add any value to the film, as their performances lacked depth and authenticity. The humor often felt forced and failed to deliver the witty and intelligent comedy one might expect from this genre. Overall, "Thank You for Coming" misses the mark and fails to leave a lasting impression, making it a forgettable and lackluster addition to the genre.

Thank You for Coming, starring Bhumi Pednekar and Shehnaaz Gill, is a recent Bollywood film that has been met with mixed reviews. The film attempts to be a feminist comedy about female pleasure, but it falls short in many ways.
One of the biggest problems with Thank You for Coming is its script. The film is full of clichés and predictable plot twists. The characters are also one-dimensional and underdeveloped. Bhumi Pednekar gives a spirited performance as the lead character, but she is unable to save the film from its flaws.
Another problem with Thank You for Coming is its tone. The film tries to be funny, but it often comes across as crass and offensive. The film also makes light of serious issues such as sexual assault and slut-shaming.
Overall, Thank You for Coming is a disappointing film. It is a missed opportunity to tell a meaningful and entertaining story about female pleasure.
Here are some specific criticisms of the film:
* The film relies too heavily on tired clichés and predictable plot twists.
* The characters are one-dimensional and underdeveloped.
* The film's tone is often crass and offensive.
* The film makes light of serious issues such as sexual assault and slut-shaming.
* The film's message about female pleasure is ultimately muddled and confusing.
Overall, I would not recommend Thank You for Coming to anyone. It is a poorly made film that fails to live up to its potential.

I'm unable to understand how this movie got rating higher than 7. It doesn't deserve any single star/ratings. I thia it's fake Rating.... because if you saw here many movies got rating higher than 7 but they even don't deserve 5 too.
Like :- Sukhi, Thanks for coming, fukrey3 and many movies.
Even rating of these movies is higher than that of #Jawan. Can you imagine how these ratings are fake, irrelevant and manipulated.
So, i request you all to don't support such types of movies who missguided our generations, it's also impact our culture and lifestyle too. So, stay away from these movies. Like :- "Thanks for coming" type movies.

Why is everyone hating on this movie ? It's a fun light hearted comedy , that is obviously not taking itself so seriously , and is meant to be watched with your brain preferably switched off . The often lewd innuendos might have the audience divided on whether this is something they want to watch , but personally I felt like the movie tackled taboo topics that society is often very keen on keeping under wraps . The question of whether a woman can be happy & single in her 30s, and whether she needs a man to complete herself have been depicted in a fun, mildly entertaining way . The main message of the movie seems to enforce that women never need to settle, be it in their career or the person they want to spend the rest of their lives with, which is a pretty solid message in this time and age !

Dont go with kids and your in-laws .This movies is not for conservative and boxed mindset people exceptionally on women and their sexuality. Exceptionally one who believes that sex is not a public topic but a private subject kept locked in safe. From womens perspective and also for those who dream only male actors or Salman Khan taking off their shirts on wide screens. Bt heroins in lead are bit too bold for them.
Acting is good, light hearted, mood swinger and fast. With nt a very depth full scenes and dialogues but hit the point about women and sexuality . Which is a very serious issue and not had been addressed yet by cinema . So far except few movies like fire and veere di wedding .
But give it a try.
There are ample of YouTubers who reviews this as cringe because it focuses on boldness of women on their issues exceptionally sex and sex drive. So definitely it is a stirr. But also challenges the type of men society has and their identity of masculinity. It is bit neutral on nature of men towards this topic. But a cool and chill sight of perspective.
Once watch it.

So happy I didn't waste time going to a movie theatre for this! It's not even watchable on Netflix. It's like a mess of a storyline with missed opportunities everywhere - in humor, fashion & story!
It's a pity because such female characters could've really been shown with depth as 3 dimensional people instead of just girls who drink & smoke all the time.

What a hypocrisy sleazy movies were made in 90's released in single screen , such movies were labelled c grade movies and looked down by society. Now in the era of OTA in the name of creativity and with more budget same movies are made and no one raise an eye brow. Where are we heading ? No doubt their is huge money involved in promoting such movies in the name of creativity and making people sub consciously accept it. Bhumi don't know at this stage of her career has to grab any things comes in her kitty. Anil kapoor the top star of 80's coming to this level only he must be knowing the reason. Shehnaz gill who just started is doing the biggest blunder of her career, hope this movie doesnot effect her profile same with senior actor dolly at her age its odd she is fine with such filth produce in the name of feminism. As i believe what is feeded as feminism is in fact for years is suppression of women. God help the audiences for more is to COME.
The film hit a nerve for certain segments of the population who didn't like the frank discussions of sex, and especially didn't like that women were talking about it. It was billed as a sex comedy but it's not really sexy: in short, viewers who want to see skin and won't get that here, it's a cerebral film about women's sexuality and female pleasure. I like that the point of view was female, I have had enough of the male gaze in cinema. If that makes you uncomfortable, do not watch this. Definitely Not for the very conservative who flinch at the mere mention of sex. Orgasm gap is a real, it's a thing, and women know it but may be too ashamed to admit that they are affected by it. Empowering film that doesn't talk down to women.
Whoever made this movie , have some shame ! Absolute waste of good caste and music !
What a shame ! I feel bad for you mate ! You got ur father in law on board , a classic actor ! He couldn't refuse you ! Mail sir learn to say NO ! If you can't then teach them ! I am 100% sure you hated the movie ! Accept it . You should have edited it beforehand !
What were you thinking ? I mean yes I understand you wanted to make a movie but this is a disaster ! It took me a week to complete the movie ! I tried hard I thought may be something meaningful Will come :( Nothing personal bro ! Work hard next time !

Thank you for coming - Its one of the disaster and worst movie I watched today in netflix.
Unnecessary plot , unnecessary drama, irrelevant story. ACTUALLY, there was no story.
Disclaimer- Kindly do not follow this movie.
Waste of time.
At the end I don't even understand what is the message they are actually trying to give.

Debauchery with no storyline.
Don't waste time watching it.
Poorly written characters and screenplay.
Shehnaz gill's appearances were the saving grace.
Costumes were horrendous.
Male bashing at its peak.
A typical Netflix Propaganda movie.
Storyline basically revolves a girl looking for hedonistic pleasures.
Cast includes a bunch of Instagram "influencers" who can't act or dance.
Songs were pretty good.
Color palette used in the movie was good.
Editors barely worked on this movie. Feels like a chewy soggy story.
Blooming Pednekar needs a good director to channel her acting efforts.

So I started watching the movie with some decent expectations but it was horrible through out. The topic was unique but the way the movie was directed felt like it's going nowhere. Any random unrelated things happening through out and you need sometime to figure out the link. Acting also not that great by the leads. Anil Kapoor did much better in very short role than anyone else through out the movie. I have watched bad movies but this one topped all of them. I wish we still had writers for bollywood movies. Please refrain from getting bad headache sitting along in front of box for couple of hours for this!!

**1. Directionless Disaster:**

**3. Misleading Mess:**
**4. Dialogue Disaster:**
**5. Themeless Nonsense:**
**6. Cardboard Characters:**
**7. Cinematic Trainwreck:**
To sum it up, "Thank You for Coming" is a cinematic calamity that should come with a warning label. It's a directionless, mind-numbing mess that not only fails to entertain but leaves you questioning the very fabric of reality. Save your time and money for a more coherent and worthwhile movie experience.
- The film's utter lack of direction makes it feel like a chaotic mishmash of scenes that even a puzzle master couldn't piece together. It's a cinematic freefall into confusion.
**2. Filler Overkill:**
- "Thank You for Coming" is a festival of unnecessary scenes and subplots, as if the filmmakers played a game of "How Many Pointless Moments Can We Squeeze In?" Characters pop in and out like unwanted guests at a never-ending party.
**3. Misleading Mess:**
- This film irresponsibly muddles through serious issues, leaving the audience with a skewed and misinformed perspective. It's like handing a loaded gun to someone without a safety manual-dangerous and foolish.
**4. Dialogue Disaster:**
- The cringe-worthy dialogue feels like it was crafted by an AI desperately trying to imitate human conversation but failing miserably. Prepare for eye-rolls and audible groans at every poorly scripted line.
**5. Themeless Nonsense:**
- Attempting to explore various themes is one thing; doing it with the finesse of a toddler wielding a paintbrush is another. "Thank You for Coming" offers a theme park of confusion, with rides that lead nowhere and leave you questioning your life choices.
**6. Cardboard Characters:**
- The characters are as deep as a puddle in a drought. No development, no relatability, just a bunch of cardboard cutouts reciting lines with the enthusiasm of a depressed sloth.
**7. Cinematic Trainwreck:**
- The technical aspects of the film are a disaster zone. Shots are poorly framed, transitions are as smooth as sandpaper, and any attempt at visual style is as absent as logic in the plot.
To sum it up, "Thank You for Coming" is a cinematic calamity that should come with a warning label. It's a directionless, mind-numbing mess that not only fails to entertain but leaves you questioning the very fabric of reality. Save your time and money for a more coherent and worthwhile movie experience.

Stop pulling children in your filthy mindset. It is fine if things are limited to adults but bringing children into this filth is so disgusting. This shows filthy mindset of the all the actor, actresses and everyone associated with this movie. Just happy to see these movies not becoming a hit. These movies should be literally thrown in the trash. It's sad to see censor board allowing such filth showing children to even come out. The story to the acting to the outright messages are total crao and nothing to be enjoyed on any kind of screen. Hope people reading the reviews discrad these movies or at least keep their children away from this filth.

I don't understand the need to bash patriarchy to make a progressive movie. The story is a cheap knock off dude where is my car and other American comedies. The sign of a good movie is that you care for the characters you cry you laugh with them. Here I wanted to slap them out of their delirium. A 30 something sole goal in life is to get orgasm and she is even ready to get married to some loser posing as a nice guy.
