A lovely documentary with some incredible shots. Although a lot of reviews have given our narrator, Mr Obama, some negative comments, I feel he did a good job and I was interested and hooked when he spoke. No, he's "not David Attenborough", but then neither is he English nor 98 years old so give the poor guy a chance!!
I had some moments where - and absolutely I'll hold my hands up if I'm wrong - I wasn't fully convinced the footage was legitimate. Particularly shots where there were multiple dolphins swimming in huge groups or sharks where they were swarming in a gigantic mass. It's sad that I'm left questioning the legitimacy of shows like this now because of AI. I just feel like as beautiful as these shots were, I don't believe them. Drone shots are well and truly possible but some of the immediate cuts from one wide lense to the close up made it seem fake. I hope I'm wrong and I hope someone can convince me, but for now I'm left with the bitter thought that not all of the shots were real. Despite this, if it is fake, it's some beautiful cinematography so at least I can admire that from afar...

I disagree with the people who criticize Barack Obama as narrator. We all need to know these facts about pollution. There is much that is positive but the alarming part must be included.
I thought he was engaged and interesting.
I found the photography absolutely astounding and I learned so much that I didn't know. It left me filled with wonder and awe. I was impressed that we have so much underwater, close-up footage. I learned about fish I never knew existed. And, the adaptive behaviors are fascinating.
It was well put together, narrated, and produced., I wouldn't change a thing. A great watch!

From the unparalleled footage, to the fun and entertaining voiceover from Barack, from the urgent message he conveys to all of us, to the marvellous score, every single element from this docu series is simply fantastic! The revolutionary recording techniques and the exclusive and first ever filmed scenes make it even more precious.
Kudos to Michelle and Barack for producing such a masterpiece. I've never seen such an enchanting and at the same time gripping and urgent docu series about nature before.
I watched it all in one sit, just couldn't and wouldn't even take a break.
Not only should everybody watch it, everybody should live up to the message we're given. It's the eleventh hour....

The content of this show is exceptional, matching the standards set by the best nature documentaries. The visuals are stunning, the colors vivid, and a lot of rare scenes captured with exceptional sharpness.
There's some footage shot with the camera apparently attached to the marine wildlife itself, which is an interesting and uncommon technique for mainstream documentaries.
The biggest letdown is the voice narration. This is the first documentary narrated by Barack Obama that I've watched, and I was not impressed. As a public orator giving political speeches, he's obviously very effective and inspirational. But his delivery of this show's narration felt dispassionate. It fails to convey the wonder & magic of the content, and makes the overall experience quite flat.

Visually is stunning and a great documentary to watch but I am just not able to like the narration from Barack Obama.... I just doesn't sound exciting at all... More like someone reading the newspaper and trying to make an effort to make it exciting but it simply isn't. I think it was a bad choice even though the name stand out.
English is not my native language so I switched to German and thank God the voice is exciting and nice to listen to. In German 10/10 but in English I just can't listen to the voice without feeling a bit disappointed considering that there are so many great "voices " out there for documentaries , so a 7/10.
