It would be nice if there would be negotiating, but even for someone with not too much of a background knowledge, it is obvious that the politics involved in all this, make the matter worse. Yes there is religion, yes there is history (on both parts) and yes there has been violence. But is there still hope? According to the people who fight for it, there is. But even though the documentary here tries to stay as neutral as possible, it does seem to indicate, that this problem will not be solved anytime soon.
Which is a shame of course. The common people want peace, they want to live in harmony. But there are factors (shown here too), that won't let that happen. One of the things that has to stop, is the blaming of the "other" side for things going wrong. It seems with the current administration Palestine might be on the right track. But obstacles are thrown its way (from the inside and the outside).
What is truly amazing to see though, are the plain people, who have lost loved ones and won't let anger and violence control them. It takes a lot of courage and shows a lot of what is good about humans, to act in the way they do. And that is coming from both sides. So maybe there is hope after all ... question is, how long will it take for it to outgrow the hatred?
