Exploring China: A Culinary Adventure

As a software engineer, I always have great passion for food and cooking. And my eyes watered many times during the show. It brought the memories of the old days when I cooked for my whole family, when we had so little yet were so happy. Now, I'm stuck in a heavily polluted mega-city. I don't get the chance to prepare my own food or to cook for my loved ones. Fortunately, I'm going to have my own kitchen soon once I settle down. This series traveled quite a few places, including interesting places like Yunnan and Kashgar. Even though my favorite Xiang cuisine is not included, I found most of the dishes very attractive. They made me think how the same ingredients are cooked in Xiang cuisine. And it is true that food is alway linked with culture. Through BBC, through the eyes of Hom and Huang, I proudly rediscovered the heritage that has been passed down over hundreds of generations.
