T is for Tentacle is a horror film that was one of the short films in the online ABC's of Death competition. Directed by Derek Braasch and written by Pat O' Sullivan this shocker is for the horror fans out there. Sex, nudity, and violence run a mock in what starts as a calm and relaxing story. What isn't relaxing about reading a good book then taking a bath and listening to some good music? Sounds nice and relaxing, right? Wrong! As actress Catilin McScandal's character soon finds out, danger is lurking in her apartment. And it is lurking a lot closer than she knows. Braasch pushes the envelope with the film's graphic, unflinching portrayal of sexuality and violence. With this supernatural, horror film he tried to do something different and he succeeded! In order to make an impression with a film, a filmmaker must get people to take notice of them and their material. In T is for Tentacle, Braasch does just that. He is sure to get a reaction from anyone who watches this film. It is not a film that is quickly forgotten. In a time when not much can shock an audience it takes guts to take a big risk and make a memorable mark in only four minutes. With this film and his other recent short film, Hernandez, Braasch shows a fearlessness not many artists have. He can take on any topic, break taboos, and make an entertaining film in the process.
