Lacklustre acting and a ludicrous story line. I think the actors are probably proficient (although John Simm is a bit hit and miss) so I'm going to blame the writing, direction and general production. There's lots of action driven by a completely laughable plot, but, at the same time, it's still incredibly dull. It has a ridiculous music soundtrack too. This is not Silence of the Lambs. How does this programme keep getting commissioned?
Quite frankly, this programme is awful, but strangely watchable, in a drifty sort of way. It's always great to see Brighton at least. Put it on for wallpaper when you've got something else to do.

I thought the early episodes of Grace were fantastic, and was expecting it to become one of my favourite series, and one I wouldn't want to miss, but I've found the recent episodes have been incredibly dull and very difficult to engage with.
I can't put my finger on what's wrong, as the two leads haven't changed the way they're playing the characters, but I'm finding the whole thing a bit of a drag. Perhaps it's the direction or editing that isn't up to scratch, or is it they're being careful not to offend anyone by making it too graphic?
I've read the books and they're not dull, so why is the programme?
I hope they're able to improve things and make it a bit more exciting, otherwise it could just fade away, and that would be a shame.

The team splits into two, and investigates two cases, a musician shot through a closed door, and a body that was found at a pig farm.
Having thoroughly enjoyed the first two episodes from this first series, I had high hopes for it, I'd hoped for a good story, and hoped for some sort of resolution with The Sandy storyline.
Overall, I thought this was a disappointment, it was boring, that's something I've never felt whilst watching Grace before, after a hugely interesting start it just became so dull, I found the story quite hard to connect with, and surprisingly I found some of the acting a little wooden.
I thought the opening was very good, I thought the last five minutes were really interesting, sadly the rest had me dozing off in the chair.
Once again I liked Elphinstone and Parkinson, I thought Richie Campbell was excellent once again, I just hope that Glen doesn't move on, that would be a disaster.
Well made, interesting in parts, just too dull.
6/10.
