I do like reality TV shows, because they show some of the real problems and real reactions. Kind of showing the viewer that celebrities are still just like us,regular people, with same old problems. Sometimes it even teaches you or shows you how you can deal with them, just by watching those people go through it... I'm sorry but I cannot watch a show with such a ditsy person being one of the main characters. How uneducated or ignorant do you have to be,to not know that bacon comes from pork. I would probably eventually degrade if I would continue watching this show... Thanks, but no. Or maybe its just for the younger crowd who can better relate to their lives and ignorance.
Married To Jonas focuses on the lives of newlyweds Danielle Deleasa (normal Jersey girl) and Kevin Jonas (1/3 of the popular boy band, the Jonas Brothers.) They are often accompanied by Dani's crazy Italian family, who barge in on the newlyweds more often than not. There are also special appearances by the Jonas clan from time to time.
The main focus of the show is Dani and Kevin wanting to have a baby, but the various issues they face (Kevin's upcoming world tour and album, Dani's anxiety diagnosis) have been holding them back from doing just that. But the show is more than just them trying to get pregnant; it shows their every day lives and them hanging out with their families like "normal" people, from planning birthday parties, to camping, to family vacations.
The show is very sweet, and I can guarantee you will like it even if you aren't a Jonas fan. People who are newlyweds, or those in relationships, will definitely be able to relate to the issues and squabbles that Dani and Kevin have.
One of the most enjoyable parts of the show, for me, is following Dani's story. She really is a normal girl who is trying to cope with the perks that come with a Cinderella life. She is someone that a lot of women can relate to, with her anxiety diagnosis, relationships with sisters, living up to the expectations of being a wife and mother, having children, etc. Kevin is less relatable but he seems like a nice person, and even though he is a rock star, he still deals with the "normal" every day pressures of being a husband, especially since he is the sole provider of the family.
The show is entertaining if you need something mindless to watch on a Sunday night before bed to help you unwind. It is interesting and entertaining, but less so than the Kardashians. I give this show a 7/10 rating, but rated it a 10/10 on IMDb to curb the unnecessarily bad reviews (4.9, really?) Definitely one of the best reality shows on television. I hope it gets renewed for more seasons!
