When love continues to elude a newly single, young writer, he turns to what he does best and writes the girl of his dreams into his life. Zander is struggling to find both love and himself but everything changes when he meets Zoe. Launching his master plan he employs Zoe to work with him on a new script but gets caught between the "real" world and the "reel" world. My Funny Valentine is a modern-day take on love and friendship and the blurred lines in between.

Well in the off-chance someone comes here seeking validation of this being a Valentine&#39;s Day-set movie, it is not. No VDay here. Ironically, it does end with a Christmas party. Doubly ironic, he who is to play &#39;Jesus&#39; in TWD even makes a Jesus reference.

My Funny Valentine

Why isn&#39;t this movie more widely reviewed? The casting was exceptionally perfect and the story was believable. The soundtrack was a little loud. But it just killed me......the movie I can never get out of my mind is &quot;500 Days of Summer&quot; and I begin getting deja vu vibes and damned if they didn&#39;t go and sit on the very same bench in the LA park!!! I wanted to quit right then and the second time I watched it I did. :-) Her pushing him away was less brutal than the other I suppose, but still. The night time photography was wonderful. It wouldn&#39;t have been that much of a sellout to have stuck on a different ending.
