The Geek and Sundry channel has always been closely tied to YouTube, featuring heavily in the site's Original Channels Initiative as well as its themed Geek Week. For its latest series, however, Geek and Sundry is branching out. Felicia Day's nerd-centric hub will make its Hulu debut through Caper, a sci-fi series about three "immortals" and their human roommate. Caper, created by TV vet Amy Berg, stars Justified's Abby Miller as Penny, a human who must fit in with her three roommates, all of whom are super-powered, immortal beings. Not to be outdone, Penny herself is a superhero, possessing an Iron Man-like metal suit. The lack of financial compensation for crime fighting causes rent to become tight, so the four roommates decide to pull off a heist, though they call it a Caper because that sounds better. Neil Patrick Harris isn't the only Dr. Horrible alum making headlines today. Felicia Day is best known as a geek goddess, but she's participated in plenty of unusual activities through The Flog, her Geek and Sundry vlog. Previous episodes of The Flog have seen Felicia learn such useful skills as archery and blacksmithing, and in the most recent episode she (and The Guild co-star Amy Okuda) added another skill to their arsenals as they learned to make pottery. A tweet from Geek and Sundry informed us that Felicia and Amy's pottery creations are available for purchase on Ebay, with all of the proceeds going to charity. A quick look at said Ebay page reveals that the duo's work isn't cheap. The top bid for Felicia's work is 255 dollars, and Amy's is currently priced at 205 dollars. At a Comic Con panel for Geek & Sundry, her YouTube channel which is host to shows such as The Flog and Tabletop, Felicia Day talked about her first and most popular web series, The Guild.
Spinoff Online reports that:
"Day then announced what fans in attendance had been eagerly awaiting - that the sixth season of The Guild will join the Geek & Sundry lineup."
After 5 very popular seasons (it's one of the most viewed web series on the entire internet), it's not surprising that The Guild would get a sixth season, but after speculation from fans, it's good that The Guild Season 6 is finally confirmed. That is, unless Geek & Sundry includes non-existent shows. (Though technically, you could argue that every YouTube channel has an infinite number of non-existent shows, as well as any existing ones. But which non-existent shows are better? It's an unwinnable argument, but hey, this is the internet,...
