Paula Marcenaro Solinger, who plays a vampire in the film is actually, ironically, highly allergic to garlic.
On the bulletin board in Detective Barry's office are photos of Director of Photography Wes Sutton, Assistant Director Michele B. McGraw, and Script Supervisor Lara Woodhull.
Script Supervisor Lara Woodhull stepped in and took on the small role of June, a victim of the vampire, when the actress originally cast in the role did not show up on set.
The character of Father Matthew Rivers was inspired by the writings of clergyman Montague Summers (1880-1948), who not only wrote several books on the subject of vampires (and werewolves and witches), but apparently firmly believed in the existence of such creatures.
