Fawad Afzal Khan is a professional singer too. The name of his music band was "Entity Paradigm" and they also appeared in Coke Studio Pakistan Season 3.
Mahira khan, who played the soft spoken and simple khirad is actually a very bubbly person. When a doll was given to her and she had to pretend it was her baby, her character was supposed to look serious and cry as well. However, she found the whole idea of a doll as a baby so funny that she laughed every time they shot the scene, leading to numerous takes of that one scene.
Humsafar is based on the Urdu romantic novel Humsafar of the same name written by Farhat Ishtiaq.
In certain parts of the show, a track from Dexter, "Blood Theme" composed by Daniel Licht is played. However, this is not credited in the ending credits.
They have used background music from Dexter.
