Fantasy Island and Lego Masters are moving from Fox’s summer schedule to in-season.

The low-cost drama and the Will Arnett-hosted unscripted series were previously set to launch on May 31. However, this morning with the reveal of Fox’s latest slate, the two shows are being pushed to later in the season.

“There’s some great moments where you start to see what you’ve got in the can and they came in so good,” Fox Entertainment CEO Charlie Collier said, speaking on its pre-upfront call. “We’re so blessed to have such a hefty returning slate and great choices to make.”

Michael Thorn, President of Entertainment at Fox, added, “Fantasy Island is really a stand out for us and we’ve lined up some incredible guest stars for this season. It’s really fun and escapist and we can’t wait to have that back on our air.

HBO Max picked up “Julia” for a second season on Thursday, the same day its Season 1 finale dropped on the streamer. With that good news, fans of the Julia Child scripted series can rest assured they will be learning more about The French Chef herself (played by Sarah Lancashire) and the people who made her the icon she is in Season 2, including Judith Light’s Blanche Knopf.

And there will be plenty to uncover about Blanche, the publisher of Child’s best-selling “Mastering the Art of French Cooking” books, in particular. The finale episode, titled “Chocolate Soufflé,” revealed the powerful co-founder and leader of publishing house Knopf is going blind, and only her mentee Judith Jones (Fiona Glascott), who was editor for Child, as well as novelists like John Updike at Knopf, knows about the dire situation.

The school half-term holidays saw the release of family-friendly fare at the U.K. and Ireland box office and consequently Paramount’s animated sequel “Sonic The Hedgehog 2” claimed the box office crown. The film debuted with £4.9 million (6.5 million), according to numbers released by Comscore.

The other big family targeted release, Universal’s “The Bad Guys,” debuted in third place with 2.2 million. Debuting in second place was considerably darker fare, Sony’s “Morbius,’ which collected £3.2 million.

After four weeks at the top, Warner Bros.’ “The Batman” dropped down to fourth position in its fifth weekend with £1.2 million and now has a total of £37.8 million.

Rounding off the top five was Universal’s “Ambulance,” which collected £273,015 in its second weekend for a total of £1.1 million.

The big release for the upcoming weekend is the latest film in J.K. Rowling’s Fantastic Beasts franchise, “Fantastic Beasts: The Secrets of Dumbledore,” which Warner Bros....

Belfast “Belfast” / Focus Features

“Belfast” picked up seven nominations in total on Tuesday, including Best Picture. Written and directed by record-breaking Oscar nominee Kenneth Branagh, “Belfast” is a semi-autographical film about a young boy named Buddy who lives in Belfast, Ireland in the late 1960s.

Reminiscent of a diehard Dream Warrior, Stetson enters her clients' haunted dreams to slay their nightmares in the new comic book series Slumber. Death Cab For Cutie has released a cover of Yoko Ono’s 1973 track, “Waiting for the Sunrise,” which is included on Ocean Child: Songs Of Yoko Ono, an upcoming tribute album honoring the groundbreaking artist curated by frontman Ben Gibbard. The album, scheduled for release Feb. 18, coincides with Ono’s 89th birthday.

The WarnerMedia streaming platform revealed during its TCA presentation on Tuesday that the starring Sarah Lancashire in the titular role will premiere March 31. Julia, whose pilot was written by Daniel Goldfarb and directed by Charles McDougall, is inspired by Child’s extraordinary life and her long-running television series, The French Chef, which pioneered the popular cooking-show genre. Through Julia and her singular can-do spirit, the series explores an evolving time in American history: the emergence of public television as a new social institution, feminism and the women’s movement, the nature of celebrity and America’s cultural growth. The 2014 French drama La Famille Bélier centered on a young woman growing up in a family with deaf parents, but for the most part the filmmakers cast hearing actors to play the deaf roles. Writer-director Siân Heder was determined not to take that same approach when she set about making Coda, her award-winning adaptation of the French film, and thus began her collaboration with actress Marlee Matlin. Heder cast the Oscar winner as mom Jackie Rossi, along with fellow deaf actors Troy Kotsur as husband Frank, and Daniel Durant as son Leo, while hearing actress Emilia Jones plays Ruby Rossi, the titular ‘Coda’—an acronym for Child of Deaf Adults.

In conversation with Matt Carey, Heder and Matlin discuss how they set about telling an authentic and moving story in a film that sold in a record-breaking deal out of Sundance.

Deadline: Siân, describe your thought process as you went about casting the film.

The show has been picked up by USA Network and Syfy, which have both been airing the series. The eight-part drama is set for its first season finale tomorrow night, November 30.

In episode 7 of Marvel’s What If…?, ‘What If… Thor Were an Only Child?’, we get to find out what would have happened if Odin had decided to return the wee babby Loki to his Frost Giant family instead of keeping him, and Thor had grown up believing he was an only child. I’m phrasing it that way because, y’know, Hela still exists. Lest we forget her majesty.

It’s a fun, fluffy episode that ends with a terrific cliffhanger that seems to set up the finale of this consistently entertaining animated series, and gives us plenty to talk about until it arrives. I’m sure they’ll find a way to kill Tony Stark at least one more time before it does.

Less than three months after Burden of Truth‘s cancellation, Kristin Kreuk has secured her next TV gig — a role in Amazon Prime’s Jack Reacher series (opposite her former Smallville co-star Alan Ritchson!).

In Lee Child’s best-selling Jack Reacher novels, the towering, hulking title character (played here by Ritchson) is a former military policeman who now roams the United States taking odd jobs. Season 1 of the Amazon series — which will be titled, simply, Reacher — will be based on the first book, 1997’s Killing Floor.

Infinity train has run four brilliant seasons, referred to as books, during its run on Cartoon Network and HBO Max.

An animated anthology series created by Owen Dennis, Infinity Train follows the train's unsuspecting passengers as they deal with personal issues.

Originating as an eight-minute short, Infinity Train's path to becoming an entire series wasn't easy.

As of this writing, the Youtube short has garnered over five million views since its debut in 2016.

It took about two years for Cartoon Network to give the show the Green Light, and when they did, Infinity Train Season 1 finally got made a year later.

Virtualis Studios — the cloud-based, fully virtual video production division of Super League Gaming — will provide remote production and monitoring solutions for the second season of Fox’s “Lego Masters,” the company announced on Wednesday.

The Visual Effects Society Awards were handed out during a virtual ceremony on Tuesday, April 6. “The Midnight Sky” won the Ves equivalent of the Best Picture race – Best Visual Effects in a Photoreal Feature. It bested Oscar frontrunner “Tenet” in that category, as well as “Jingle Jangle: A Christmas Journey,” “Project Power” and “The Witches.” George Clooney‘s sci-fi drama won an additional prize for Best Model in a Photoreal of Animated Project. Doug Schwalbe has launched The Co-Production Company, a boutique production firm specializing in finance and distribution arrangements for international productions.

With backing from Superprod Group, The Co-Production Company has landed deals with Hannah Montana co-creator Michael Poryes and Impact X Capital, and partnerships with Pukeko Pictures (Nz), August Media (Singapore), Chatrone (Brazil), Anima Estudios (Mexico) and DreamWorks Animation Television.

“I’m thrilled to be working with these wonderful partners on such exciting, original creative content,” says Schwalbe.

Schwalbe, who formerly serves as Senior Vice President of Coproduction at DreamWorks Animation Televisionl currently has a partnership with Poryes to develop programming for the international marketplace. He also has multi-series deals with UK Private Equity Firm Impact X Capital, for African-inspired shows with creator Roye Okupe’s YouNeek Studios, including Iyanu, Child of Wonder from Dark Horse Comics. One of my favorite viewing experiences this year was finally catching up on Nickelodeon's Are You Afraid of the Dark? revival, and while I'm bummed that the characters from the first season won't be returning, I'm still thrilled to see whatever the new Midnight Society cooks up next around the campfire.

With the new season of Are You Afraid of the Dark? premiering sometime in 2021, Nickelodeon is celebrating the New Year a bit early with their first teaser video for the new season that reveals its official title: Curse of the Shadows.

While the first season of the Are You Afraid of the Dark? revival (titled Carnival of Doom) featured three episodes, the new season will comprise six episodes.

The introduction of the Timeless Child backstory at the end of the most recent season of Doctor Who was, to put it lightly, a controversial move. Retconning much of what we know about the Doctor and the history of Time Lords, the decision means that the lead character is something very different to what we first thought. A new theory, however, is now suggesting that the Master could also be a Timeless Child.

According to ScreenRant, the revamped origin story for the Doctor had the consequence of making the Master less of their equal, in that they’re now just another Time Lord, albeit a powerful one who’s managed to cheat their typical regeneration cycle. The couple welcomed their second child, a baby boy, People confirmed on Friday. This new addition makes a family of four, as the Single Parents stars share daughter Arlo Day, born in 2015.
