Goofs

During the first actual class, Flo Bai (Maggie Geha) is shown seated at the rear of the classroom wearing gold sandals. After the class she is shown leaving the classroom wearing fringed, black ankle boots.

Early in the film we see Keith's apartment from the outside in full daylight, while he rejects a teaching position from his agent on the phone. We cut to the inside of his apartment, as ConEd cuts his power leaving him in total darkness. Did day turn to night over the span of a few seconds?

Keith says he wrote "Paradise Misplaced" 15 years ago. However, if his son was 5 when he wrote the story and is 18 now, the math does not add up properly.

Professor Weldon lists Austen, the Bronte sisters, and Woolf as leading 19th century English women authors. Although Virginia Woolf was born in 1882, her writings are considered 20th century writings and not 19th century.

When Holly mentions the book "Late Bloomers" to Keith she says that Alan Rickman got his first movie role at the age of 48. Alan Rickman's first movie role and big break was in Die Hard (1988) and he was 42 when the movie was released.

After the faculty get-together, Keith is driven home at night. As he walks up the steps to his house, he receives a call from his agent in Los Angeles, driving in her car during the daytime. After the call, he enters his house where the clock shows it's 11:30 p.m. It can't be that light in Los Angeles at 8:30 p.m. in September.
