This is an ironic watch for me. I love bad Christian genre movies and this has it all; the worst acting I've ever seen and heavy handed self righteous messaging. So I knew it was a likely thumbs up for me. But I can't give a high review solely based on a movie's cathartic irony.
Other reviews are correct. The story is better than most Christian Scifi not based on the rapture.
But the acting... Good luck.

Like other comments expressed here, I stayed for the story, which was good. The little girl was actually capable of playing a charming and believable character. Everyone else in this movie seemed to be on Qualludes and barely able to read in a wooden monotone off a script written by a High School student. It was really that bad.
I don't know too much about filmmaking, but I know even small production are very expensive. Surely the investors were privy to some of the intitial scenes? They should have pulled and replaced whoever was in charge of the "acting". What a waste of a good storyline. !¡

The christian over-, and undertone are evident. It seems like christian actors would at least try and be actors. The overall story is executed awfully. Seriously. Acting is bad, costuming is horribly off for the period they are trying to convey, and the subliminal proselytizing, which is hardly below the surface, is overdone. Terrible flick. Churches should be ashamed about taking donations to fund piles like this.

While not my cup of tea in genres, I caught this flick with a friend who is really into Evangelical Christian doomsday themes. The storyline takes a pretty much standardized evangelical twist on the popular subject of extraterrestrials. Here, the assumed aliens are presented as actually being nefarious minions of Satan that try to dupe mankind into believing they are anything but that. The plot is actually somewhat interesting, though the "science" terminologies used in the dialogue is somewhat reminiscent of arcane 1950's scifi drivel. The film is naturally laden with lots of Holy roller overtures (understandable considering the genre), but what makes this one stand out from the others is the awful acting. And by this I mean every single person that had a speaking role. It was apparent the film makers didn't even try to cast someone with any knowledge about the skill involved, and neither did they care. This kind of disrespect for the audience is a sin in my opinion.
To put it bluntly, "The Watchers: Revelation" is a painful experience for the audience and one I never plan to endure again.

Mr. Dallis should stop now and never write, direct or produce anything again. Period. The acting in this travesty is nothing short of a grammar school play. I have no idea how a director could watch this taking place and be happy with it. There is no single pretender in this flick that could be called an actor. The story could be ok, if you can get past all the rest. Anyone rating this above two stars should never do another movie review.

I did not watch any of the other "watcher" movies, so no idea on this one. The Religious theme is fine, very shallow and one verse lines. The Plot others are saying is good...nope. Plotline is thin, while I could follow the basic plot, their attempt at complexity fell very short. The attempt to tie the Anunnaki into the movie fell short. Only mentioned a few times. Then the alleged "tablet" was supposedly in Cuneiform but wasn't. IT has some cuneiform, but only a bit, especially when "Sumerian" was mentioned, I expected a WHOLE cuneiform tablet, not a few slashes. Then there is confusion amongst the igigi, Anunnaki and B'nai Elohim. Mostly though it is who is igigi and who is Anunnaki, while they are denying that they are, but they are, but they aren't type of thing. It is almost like the screenwriter FORGOT what they had written in scene 3 and suddenly changed their mind and wrote something completely different for scene 5 for the same character. This is not even a Grade B, but D or even further into the alphabet. Even the Sci-fi channel movies are better and THAT is saying a Lot. Fight scenes were shallow and very elementary school play. Ending much to be desired. IF you want just an inane movie to just have some noise in the background, movie is perfect for that.

Movie is a b roll movie it was done on the cheap. But don't hold that against the movie. The acting not the greatest. Is obvious that several scenes were only filmed once but on a 50k budget you can't fault the movie for that one.
Story covers several themes based in history. Special effects nothing's Spectacular but enough to help the story.
Myself I'm all about the story itself. If it's acted well etc it s just a bonus but a nice one to be sure. The story was well thought out and well executed. Unlike many religious movies that go into ow you have to believe blah blah. I didn't really feel any of that religious bias in the story. It is Christian movie with a few out there theories but it was a unique one and strangely actually plausible. Unlike most movies like this one.when looking back at history it doesn't how to put it it picks its theoretical bs well.
Don't know if you will choose to watch this movie I know I had not planned on doing so. But I was pleasantly surprised. Ya the acting and camera work made some parts seem jumpy but don't hold it against the movie.
To me a movie is all about taking a story and making it visual rather then paper as reading a book to help you picture the story better. A tool and the story is the important part and this story was a good one.

A good story, but the acting is really bad. It explores the different points of view between extraterrestes and angels.

There is no way that with the worst of actors, you'd get such wooden acting from all of them.
This must be deliberate.
When you understand that, then it is clear that is the story that matters. And a very powerful story at that.

An archeological dig at Cahokia burial mounds in southwest Pennsylvania manifests a tablet linked to the Anunnaki, supposedly technologically advanced extraterrestrial beings who interact with world leaders, including the President of the USA. As their true nature and plan is exposed, they come after those responsible, including a 9 years-old prodigy.
"The Watchers: Revelation" (2013) is an Indie costing only $50,000. "Beyond the Darkness," aka "Heaven's War" (2018), was actually shot before this, but it took 7 years for it to be released due to how long it took to add the CGI effects (which were done really well for a non-blockbuster). I mention that movie because this one is cut from the same cloth, just with less funds. Despite that, the effects are certainly serviceable.
The people complaining about the acting must not have seen many spare-change Indies because I thought they did a respectable job for no-names. Remember, when you only have $50,000 to work with, you have to get the shot done and move on. You can't wait around for the perfect delivery and so forth because time means money in this biz.
At the end of the day, this is a watchable low-rent sci-fi movie with an interesting story that includes exposition on the Sumerian Anunnaki and Igigi. Kaitlin Lory does well as the blonde protagonist, Sarah, and Carissa Dallis is precious as the girl, Kara.
It runs 1 hour, 30 minutes, and was shot in areas south of Dayton, Ohio, including Kettering, Trenton and Hamilton.
GRADE: B-/C+
