Movie is a b roll movie it was done on the cheap. But don't hold that against the movie. The acting not the greatest. Is obvious that several scenes were only filmed once but on a 50k budget you can't fault the movie for that one.
Story covers several themes based in history. Special effects nothing's Spectacular but enough to help the story.
Myself I'm all about the story itself. If it's acted well etc it s just a bonus but a nice one to be sure. The story was well thought out and well executed. Unlike many religious movies that go into ow you have to believe blah blah. I didn't really feel any of that religious bias in the story. It is Christian movie with a few out there theories but it was a unique one and strangely actually plausible. Unlike most movies like this one.when looking back at history it doesn't how to put it it picks its theoretical bs well.
Don't know if you will choose to watch this movie I know I had not planned on doing so. But I was pleasantly surprised. Ya the acting and camera work made some parts seem jumpy but don't hold it against the movie.
To me a movie is all about taking a story and making it visual rather then paper as reading a book to help you picture the story better. A tool and the story is the important part and this story was a good one.

This is an ironic watch for me. I love bad Christian genre movies and this has it all; the worst acting I've ever seen and heavy handed self righteous messaging. So I knew it was a likely thumbs up for me. But I can't give a high review solely based on a movie's cathartic irony.
Other reviews are correct. The story is better than most Christian Scifi not based on the rapture.
But the acting... Good luck.

The christian over-, and undertone are evident. It seems like christian actors would at least try and be actors. The overall story is executed awfully. Seriously. Acting is bad, costuming is horribly off for the period they are trying to convey, and the subliminal proselytizing, which is hardly below the surface, is overdone. Terrible flick. Churches should be ashamed about taking donations to fund piles like this.
While not my cup of tea in genres, I caught this flick with a friend who is really into Evangelical Christian doomsday themes. The storyline takes a pretty much standardized evangelical twist on the popular subject of extraterrestrials. Here, the assumed aliens are presented as actually being nefarious minions of Satan that try to dupe mankind into believing they are anything but that. The plot is actually somewhat interesting, though the "science" terminologies used in the dialogue is somewhat reminiscent of arcane 1950's scifi drivel. The film is naturally laden with lots of Holy roller overtures (understandable considering the genre), but what makes this one stand out from the others is the awful acting. And by this I mean every single person that had a speaking role. It was apparent the film makers didn't even try to cast someone with any knowledge about the skill involved, and neither did they care. This kind of disrespect for the audience is a sin in my opinion.
To put it bluntly, "The Watchers: Revelation" is a painful experience for the audience and one I never plan to endure again.
