Downhill writing

Boy, 8 great seasons, but the last 4 or 5 episodes of this season are really really bad. The writing is an embarrassment to these great actors (I'm talking the veteran cast; not the nitwitty newbies). I'm hoping it gets better this season soon. Why on earth they had to bring Kepner back is beyond me; one of the most annoying characters ever. A lot of the plots just seem forced and silly recently. It's my 2nd time around watching the season after giving up at this point in the past; I'm hoping it starts to improve so I can keep going. Please someone tell me it does get back to the great Greys Anatomy is was before?
