I watched this at it's theatrical premier, as an aspiring filmmaker from the same home town as Jason Preston, and had no idea what I was in for.
The story delves into conspiracies related to historical aspects of the United States that have since been revealed to me to be not only possible, but likely to have occured in some type of multiversal historical form.
Realizing now it's been literally 12 years since it's release, I would chomp heartily at the opportunity to purchase and re experience what should have been, and may still become an absolute cult classic.
Much like similarly localized endeavours of feature films produced in southwest Missouri such as Redneck Carnage (Johnno Z) and The Legend of Bill Foster (Clinton H), Golden Circle is a feast for viewers with a keen eye for, now nostalgic, Ozarks scenery and locations, every single actor stood out in their own strengths and should be commended.
If you see this movie on a shelf anywhere (not the kingsman b.s. That plagiarized the namesake) Do yourself a favor and check it out!
If you're a dude from Springfield Missouri area, you'll find something, if not everything, to love about this master class in low budget story telling in a pre smartphone drenched world.
