At this point in time, both previous Kingdom movies have ratings of 6.6 and 6.7. Kingdom III now stands at a rating of 7.1. I wholeheartedly second the motion that the Kingdom series just keeps getting better - this instalment is definitely a step above its predecessors. The chariot chase alone is hands-down a miraculous achievement in terms of pure cinematography - it is on par with chariot scenes in Ridley Scotts' Gladiator. Don't expect complicated politics or an historically accurate Qin Shi Huang -- this continues being an action heavy adventure with notably less romance than the previous 2 movies. The focus is battle and boy does it deliver!

When i saw the first part i enjoyed the storyline, the characters and got surprised that there was a part two. I eagerly watched part two to see how the main characters progressed in their journey. After part two i could not wait for part three, wrongly thinking it was a trilogy. I am looking forward to part four because there is still so much to tell, characters from part one came back in part three and there is more back story regarding general Aoki and The King. It will be exciting to see how all these stories come full circle. Can the main characters fulfill their destiny's, will general Aoki and assassin girl get their revenge, what role will the mountain people play? I do not write a review regularly but after being delightfully entertained i felt compelled to write one. I rate this move an 8 because not only was i entertained, i can not wait to see part four.
Kind regards!

I have been so tired of Western films in the last 10 years, and Kingdom has been a breath of fresh air, from 1-3. The writing, camera work, audio quality, soundtracks, story arcs, are simply all stellar. Which made me give this 10/10 for the valiant effort of this movie. No agenda BS like the West, just pure fun, emotional stories, powerful visuals, and this is the classic show me and don't tell me concept in fine style. I have played games that have lost this, and watched shows that have lost this concept. I have had chills to the point of emotional tears, of just being happy I can watch and enjoy. I am literally done with Western shows, and may shows like these continue to fill the market. So we can see what we are missing.
The very first KINGDOM was awesome! Then Kingdom 2 was ... let's say... OK. But this third part... so disappointing , like it was made in rush, I can't explain why. But it's way poorest VFX and poorest acting than before...
There will be for sure a part 4, as the end of Kingdom 3 suggested... So let's just see how the quality will go up, or most certainly will be even worst, considering how the things were going with the last two parts.
Also, about the length: there could have been some improvements to keep the movie at max 90 minutes. Not needing for long time shoots increasing the length to 2 hours.
So, In my own opinion: -Kingudamu: 7/10 -Kingudamu II: 6,5/10 -Kingudamu II: 5/10.

Like the first 2 movies, it keeps to the story and the flow of the manga, which will satisfy the manga fans also. Futher more, I love the way they explain war-strategy in the movie by key-point characters, because it is an important part in the manga. The explaination is not to big and nerdy, just the right amount to get absorpt in the battle. Not just the small fighting/battles of Shin him self, but for the whole battle/war. Also the camera work, making it feel like you are running with the soldiers, just increase the changes to get absorpt into the war.
Only to choice the aldult king Sei-actor, for his background story, made the emotional effect of the background story lose its effect to public.

The third in the series that just keeps getting new instalments, although it's sad to say that neither of the sequels have come closer to the power of the original and this one's worse than the second. We're back in another villain-of-the-week storyline in which a new general and his army show up to threaten chaos and the heroes have to come together to take him down. This one's immensely overlong and made still slower by a lengthy back story sequence that adds nothing but filler to the narrative. Even the main actor seems to feature less. Sure, the action scenes are fun, but you really do get nothing more than that.
