In 1880's New York City, the Godfather has a heart-to-heart with his son and sends him on a mission to expand operations in the Wild West. A week later, we visit the small, one-horse town of Desperation, Misery (Missouri) as its new sheriff - Sheriff Woody Pine - is being sworn in. All the townsfolk are excited but none more so than the sheriff's partner in crime-fighting - Deputy Jim Nabors. They're on the lookout for a notorious outlaw and his band of thieves - Robin the Hood. That same night on the lone prairie beyond Desperation, we meet Robin and his partners in crime who are celebrating their latest victory on their journey, robbing from the rich and giving to the poor and destitute all throughout the state of Misery (Missouri).

We meet Harry DeWolfe - the Loan Arranger - who enjoys foreclosing on mortgages and raking in money from poor unsuspecting victims all over the Wild West. He sets his sights on a despondent Marian Webster who can barely make ends meet. If she does not come up the money to pay the back taxes on her modest homestead in the next 48 hours, then DeWolfe will have no choice but to seize her home, unless of course, she agrees to marry him instead. What will she do between a rock and a hard place? Off Marian goes to work at the local library where she meets an intriguing patron - Robin the Hood - who tries to charm his way into her good graces. Two sweet-talkers in one day...some girls have all the luck. They strike up a fast friendship.

Sheriff Woody and Deputy Jim set out to thwart the exploits of Robin the Hood - bank, stagecoach and train robberies - but end up arriving too late to the party, realizing they have a crime spree on their hands. Meanwhile the townsfolk of Desperation get some welcome relief as Robin the Hood arrives on the scene with money in hand. Back in Little Italy - New York City, the Godfather convenes a sit-down meeting with his associates in a local restaurant. Little do they know what comes next... Back in Desperation, Misery (Missouri), news of a high stakes poker game at the Mustang Saloon spreads throughout the town. We meet saloon proprietor Sam "Bugsy" Malone and travelling entertainer Shania Twain who have quite a storied past between them.

A whole slew of characters belly up to the bar at the Mustang Saloon...among them Sheriff Woody, Deputy Jim and a series of notorious gamblers: Diamond Jim Brady, Will Bill Hickok, Harry DeWolfe and writer Mark Twain. Shania Twain, an accomplished card dealer and chanteuse entertains the local denizens and shortly thereafter, holds court in a friendly game of poker - 5 card draw - winner take all. The game takes a turn and true intentions and identities are revealed. Robin the Hood is finally captured by Sheriff Woody and Deputy Jim and thrown in the local jailhouse.

In the local jailhouse, Robin the Hood meets up with 5 notorious outlaws from the Wild West - Jesse James, Calamity Jane, Butch Cassidy, Belle Starr and Billy the Kid who recount their storied past in song. Meanwhile back in NYC, the Godfather is at St. Patrick's Cathedral in a confessional with associate Archbishop McCloskey, revealing some trade secrets in confidence. Later we are party to a special Wild West edition of the game show Family Feud, hosted by Preacher Ricochet Dawson and featuring La Famiglia Geppetto vs. Robin and the Hoods.

Sweet dreams, premonitions, and nightmares abound on the eve of Marian's fateful wedding day. As the clock strikes two the next afternoon, we find Marian at wit's end, desperately trying to delay the inevitable - a shotgun marriage to Harry DeWolfe - but it's the only way to save the town of Desperation. DeWolfe forces her hand and speeds up the wedding ceremony but is eventually foiled by a most unexpected yet timely intervention. Seething with rage, DeWolfe challenges Robin to a duel - a showdown just before High Noon the next day - to settle the score once and for all. Despite Marian's warnings, this final showdown comes to pass and takes a turn for the worse as an unexpected victim ends up paying dearly with their life.

After the dust settles from the final showdown, Robin the Hood and Harry DeWolfe are carted off to jail to await sentencing. Desperation County District Night Court is in session with circuit court Judge Judy presiding, alongside her trusted sidekick - Zeke, the bailiff. A series of 5 Wild West outlaws are sentenced for their various crimes against humanity; Elvira Gulch is brought to justice for trying to dog-nap Dorothy's Toto; and a class action suit is brought against Harry DeWolfe by a number of complainants including Laura Ingalls, Minnie Pearl, Mona Stangley, Scarlett and Annie Oakley. Not only is Harry DeWolfe guilty as charged but he is also complicit in a diabolical plot.

As the Night Court session progresses, the diabolical plot to overrun the town of Desperation begins to unravel. At the eleventh hour, surprise witnesses are brought forward to testify by prosecutor Glint Eastwood. Despite the efforts of defense attorney Vinny Gambino, one by one, the parties complicit in the plot are revealed and brought to justice once and for all. Robin the Hood is exonerated of all criminal charges and he and Marian can finally be together in a fairy tale ending.
