A.R.Murugadoss' 2nd Hindi venture, which incidentally is a remake just like his first Hindi Blockbuster, Ghajini.
A.R.Murugadoss had initially planned to make this film in Hindi after Ghajini in 2008 but Akshay got busy with other films and hence he made it in Tamil before as Thupakki and now in Hindi.
Akshay got injured several times during the shoot of this film. One of the times, he injured his foot very badly while jumping down a flight of stairs.
Akshay Kumar's sixth project with Vipul Shah, either as the Producer or the Director. The other projects include Aankhen, Waqt, Singh is King, Action Replay and Namastey London.
Zakir Hussain is the only actor reprising his role from Thupakki(2012).
