Better than expected
This is probably the best structured short film yet by Budget Productions. It makes sense and the characters aren't plain boring. They actually have some interesting personalities. Regi is a good attempt at making a sigma character but lacked a really good reason to turn sigma and we didn't see him as a normal human. The soundtrack (which is Drives) is used well and fits the short film perfectly. My only complaint is that it's 5 minutes long. I think it's time to start getting some longer short films from Budget Productions.
It's a good way to start the year with one of the better short films.

Possibly the best
This is possibly the best Budget Short film.
It has a lot of hidden meaning and a good overall execution. The surprise use of the nightcall and a real hero are welcome as they fit the plot decently well. My only complaint is the lack of Jack Vickers and Josh Foxons characters. Jacks character Barney is literally a cameo and is only used for plot.
However, George Groziers character Shannon is great. He's funny and has a really good, funny sequence at the end of the short film which is possibly the best scene in any Budget short film. George Williams sigma character is quite good. Ticks all the boxes of a sigma.

Great start the 2023
For Budget Productions standpoints, this is probably their best short film. It has structure and has interesting enough characters. It took them too long to attempt a sigma movie and they've finally done. I'm not entirely sold on the sigma character Regi but they tried their best. The soundtrack is also very familiar🤔
The best character it's probably George Groziers Shannon, he's completely different compared to who he's played before and it works so well.
Although Jack Vickers character Barney is prominent on the poster he has nothing more than a cameo in act 2.
I hope this is the start of well structured short films for Budget!

A new sigma😱
There's a new sigma in town and he's pretty chill.
Runner is the first short film by Budget Productions this year and it's a very good start of things to come! It's serious, dramatic and takes a comedic turn at the end that works into a very good short film. It's good to see George Williams back as the main character. First time since Christ-Ian: The Unvirgining. The supporting characters are good, especially Shannon who is played by george Grozier. He adds a serious yet immature tone to the short film. Jack and Joshes characters don't share a tone of screen time but are welcome additions to the cast.

Very sigma
In a generation where sigma characters are popular of course there's another sigma coming into movies. And it's Regi. He's pretty cool. His character is interesting, similar to the likes of Driver where he barely speaks nor shows any emotion. The setup is simple but it works just enough to make this short film worth watching. Although it's advertised as a drama, thriller it of course has comedy injected into it so it's not entirely serious. All characters are interesting but George Groziers Shannon sticks out most. Finally a non-serious character played by George Grozier. It's a nice change to Gray Cade.
