Mumbai, April 1 (Ians) The streaming show ‘Dear Ishq’ wrapped up its shoot recently leaving the cast members emotional. The crew shot for 60 episodes before the curtains came down on the first season.

The cast including lead actor Sehban Azim is hopeful that the show will soon return with its second season.

Speaking about the wrap, Sehban said: “It’s been a wonderful experience, it feels like it’s been too less time for us. I wish it was longer. Didn’t realise how 60 episodes passed by, a little overwhelmed, a little sad also, but hoping for the second season, I hope it happens soon. I’m gonna miss the entire team and crew, direction team, wonderful team, I want to work with each of them again.”

Sehban Azim, who is currently seen playing the role of Abhimanyu Razdan in the web series ‘Dear Ishq’, shared a very friendly relationship with his co-actors and recently the actor gave a special treat to everyone on the sets.

Actress Simran Rawal, who is playing Arya in the show finally wrapped up her shoot as her role got over in the web series. Sehban thought of giving her a memorable farewell and thus ordered chole bhature for her from a famous shop.

He shared: “It was Arya’s last day onset and she was claiming that she has not eaten good chole bhature in Mumbai so I knew this place through Kishwer, called Chaddha and the taste of Chole Bhature is very north Indian so I thought I can make her eat it in Mumbai and I ordered for the entire cast and the crew. We ate so much that we were literally dozing off.

Actress Niyati Fatnani, who is currently playing the role of an award-winning editor, Asmita Roy, in the web series, ‘Dear Ishq’, shares a friendly bond with the director Atif Khan and said that he keeps pulling her leg on the sets.

She shared: “My director knows me from my previous show. He is a very funny and witty person. In fact, if something goes wrong, he makes sure to pull my leg and trouble me to the fullest.”

Niyati has done various shows, like Nazar, Yeh Moh Moh Ke Dhage, D4- Get up and Dance. The actress is popularly known for her role in Channa Mereya. She also made a cameo in the web series, ‘Aashiqana’, produced by Gul Khan. Niyati is currently seen in the show ‘Tere Ishq Mein Ghayal’.

Mumbai, March 2 (Ians) Television actor Sehban Azim, who plays the role of author Abhimanyu Razdan in the streaming show ‘Dear Ishq’, initially found it a bit difficult to step into the character because in the series, the author is a mean character. Being mean and snobbish doesn’t come naturally to the actor so, he had to work it out a bit to lend authenticity to the part.

This was revealed by his co-actor and friend Kishwer Merchant, who plays the recurring character of Maya Costa in the show. Talking about the same, she said, “Sehban is completely opposite of what he is playing as a character, so it was initially a bit difficult for him to get into the character because he is a very nice person. He has to be very mean to this girl, so I said I’ll train you.”

Sehban Azim and Kishwer Merchant have been friends for years.

Actress Niyati Fatnani is currently seen in the web series ‘Dear Ishq’ and recently, she shot an intimate sequence. The actress nerrated how she was hesitant at first.

Niyati said: “Firstly, I am a shy person, and doing such scenes for a shy person isn’t that easy, so initially I was very hesitant. The team made sure that I and my co-actor were comfortable doing the scene and it was designed in such a way that it was easy to shoot. And it even came on screen very aesthetically.”

Mumbai, Feb 23 (Ians) Actor Kunal Verma, who plays the negative role of Rizwan Khan in the romantic drama show ‘Dear Ishq’, is obsessed with his character.

The show is set against the backdrop of an Indian publishing house and tells the story of two completely opposite personalities, who unknowingly fall for each other.

Kunal Verma is the newest entrant in the show.

Talking about his role, Kunal said: “Rizwan is very complex. I am quite loving the character, I feel so fresh and connected to him, he’s quite convincing in the show. I usually underplay myself, but Rizwan’s character is completely different. I feel like I want Rizwan to be more like Abhimayu when it comes to humour. I am personally very moody but am thoroughly enjoying what I am currently doing.

“I like the show and the storyline. Rizwan has many shades to himself and I am obsessed with this character.

Former ‘Bigg Boss 16’ contestant Sumbul Touqeer, who is excited about her cameo in the web show ‘Dear Ishq’, said she is fond of fictional dramas and being part of it is indeed a great experience.

She is also excited as after being part of a reality show she is going to show her acting talent to the audience. She is essaying the role of an influencer, who plans to promote Rizwan’s (Kunal Verma) book and compete with Abhimanyu (Sehban Azim).

She said: “I am a fan of fiction shows and this is my first appearance after ‘Big Boss’ where audiences will see me as an actor and not as myself. I am equally excited and nervous about the role. I want to put my best foot forward. Moreover, it is challenging as audiences have been used to seeing me as Sumbul and not as an actor.”
