One of the better slice of life anime to have come out during an era which was primarily dominated by slice of life. Yuyushiki is a show which I recommend to anyone due to it's almost quaint nature, and inoffensive premise.
I'm writing this as someone who isn't a huge fan of slice of life personally, I kinda tuned out a lot of shows that came out around this era just because not a lot were catching my eye. Just keep in mind going into it, if you're expecting an anime with data processing to go along with it's data processing club, there's not a lot of data processing. At all. Their club activity amounts to "searching on Wikipedia for random topics."

I've been wanting to watch this anime for a while and finally got the chance to after finding a DVD of the whole season. This anime was well worth the wait and did not disappoint!
Yuyushiki dives into the everyday antics of three high school girls: Yui, Yuzuko, and Yukari, as they join the at-risk "Data Processing Club." Though they sit around at computers in the club and look up random facts about a variety of topics, the name of the club works out in a way, because these three girls take various data and information they see on search engines like Hooya (obvious shot at Yahoo) and "process" it into their minds.
There isn't really a lot to criticize about this anime. The animation is basic yet pleasing to the eyes/easy to look at, the humor is what one would expect from a CGDCT slice of life anime and provides a lot of laughs (the Russian dog "Zvyozdochka" scene was probably my favorite), the writing set the stage for hilarious yet relatable scenarios (though it sometimes switched on a whim out of nowhere), and the characters are either really funny because of their wild actions (particularly Yuzuko) or extremely relatable due to their personality (particularly Yui).
Yuyushiki reminds me of slice of life animes such as Lucky Star and YuruYuri, because (respectively) the characters sit around and have conversations about what seems to be random topics such as food and animals, while also finding them in various situations set up in a yuri style. While these situations can easily be seen as awkward, it's obviously meant to be done for laughs.
If you're looking for a chill anime to watch, want to get a good laughing session in, and maybe be educated about a thing or two you may not have known before, I highly recommend Yuyushiki.

- TriviaThe three characters are named Yuzuko, Yui and Yukari; all three have the term "Yu", which means "friend". This is also a homage to Ed, Edd n Eddy (1999), which also focused on three friends who shared a similar name.
