The Art Whisperer is a poignant film that spoke to my soul. I attended the premier at the Santa Fe Art Festival in February of 2023. I LOVED this movie! I especially enjoyed watching Ginny William's journey to create meaning for herself and for others.
I learned about art and the art world, and about women in art in particular. Hearing from a variety of artists and community members in the art community is interesting, and seeing Ginny as she lives her life is compelling. The film is full of humor and had me laughing out loud as well. It challenges independence and champions self confidence. The Art Whisperer is an inspiring film.

I saw this at the Santa Fe Film festival screening and it was a moving and inspirational story. This film follows the career of Ginny Williams who was an art collector that discovered and elevated the careers of many prominent artists.
I was moved by Ginny's story, specifically how she found her passion at age 60 and left a remarkable impact on the art world. It was interesting to see how many major art institutions participated in this documentary, acknowledging her gift.
This movie is one that should be seen widely as it encourages women to find their passion and follow their dreams no matter the life circumstances or their age.

This I know for sure - there will never be a more inspirational and evolved soul. This documentary on Ginny Williams truly only gives the viewers a small taste of what an amazing woman she was. Her eye for art, her view on the world, and her love of people, nature and animals shines.
Ginny would always tell people who wanted her opinion on art "You buy are because it pleases you and you like it, never buy art because you treat it as an investment".
BRAVO Ginny and your light and love will be shared with others through this film. You will never be gone - as your energy lives on through the lives you have touched.

I just watched the Art Whisperer, a very well done film on Ginny Williams and her extraordinary pursuit and insight on contemporary art with a particular focus on women artists and became good friends with several along the way.
Her great eye and genuine approach to collecting and appreciating the artists is quite inspirational. I had the privilege of knowing Ginny for many years and the director Flemming Finsk, completely captured the essence and joie de vivre of Ginny.
From the galleries in NYC to local art fairs Ginny was always looking for art that made her feel happy. With little concern about investment potential.

What a wonderful treat to share in the story of Ginny's strength and character. I find it most inspiring that she re-imagined her life at an age when many simply slow down.
Ginny's discerning eye and generous spirit helped propel women artists to the forefront. Yes, the latter half of the 20th century was a time of growth for women as individuals; Ginny contributed to this growth, Her recognition and advocacy brought the work of numerous female artists to the awareness of the greater population via her generous donations to various museums.
Ginny's generosity allowed various artist's creations to be seen, admired, and shared. I find it quite likely that her awareness of each individual artist's creations inspired these artists' to create even more art thereby making our world a richer place.
Thank you Ginny!
