The film was titled Toofani Lashkar when it was launched. Vijeyta Pandit replaced Jamnuna. S. R. Pratap replaced Sayyed Abrar.
Ajit son actor Shehzad Khan spread rumors that he an affair with Vijayta Pandit during the making of the film. He alleged that she calls him over her place etc. When Vijayta heard about this, she was shocked. She could not believe that Shehzad would do such a thing. She was very angry and stated she would never risk her marriage for any man let alone a nobody like Shehzad Khan .
Shehzad Khan' s voice was dubbed by a dubbing artiste.

Shehzad Khan went to audition for Arjun Hingorani's Kaun Kare Kurbani. He was rejected but the producer of Som Mangal Shani spotted him there and signed him for his film.
