-Christophe L'Allier now works at the Violence Prevention Centre. Yoan, who recently enrolled, did not show up for his second appointment. Christophe calls him when he is in the middle of a crisis. He has just violently shoved his wife, Charlène. His son Noa, the only witness to the assault, goes to the police station with his grandparents, Madeleine and Jean-Pierre. Inspector Fabien Gauthier questions him. Madeleine, who never liked Yoan, contacts the prosecutor Gabrielle Laflamme. With his colleague Roxanne, Christophe reviews the files of the few men who could be brought together for group therapy.
-Christophe and Roxanne lead their first group meeting with, among others, Junior, Marcel, Jonathan and Aziz. Gauthier receives a visit from Lina, who is afraid of her husband, a fellow police officer who reacts very badly to her request for a divorce. Noa has other memories of the attack. He wants to tell everything to the police. Yoan's case becomes more complicated. The latter misses his son a lot. He asks Christophe to find a way to contact him. Gabrielle notices that Charlène persists in excusing her husband. She is indignant of Christophe's efforts to allow Yoan to speak to Noa and lets him know without detour. Christophe is surprised by a visit to the Center of Patrick who gives him the last news of his mother.
-Gabrielle obtains the help of the police officer Morgane Harel to search Yoan's background. Yoan gets a call from his son, Noa, under the supervision of Jean-Pierre and Christophe. In the hope of winning back his wife, Loïc, a young professional of 24 years old, comes to the center, but he does not want to confide in Roxanne. Christophe is looking for a shelter that could take in his mother, who is increasingly losing her autonomy. He manages to find Kevin Bilotta, Yoan's friend who made him fall back into drugs. This one speaks to him about what they lived in adolescence.
-Christophe has found a residence that might be suitable for Edith. With Patrick, he hopes to convince her that it is better for her to move. Loïc comes back to register. Christophe makes sure it is for the right reasons. Charlene is discharged from the hospital and wants to go home, much to her mother's disappointment. Christophe and Roxanne try to get Junior, who has decided to leave the program, to reconsider his decision. Christophe leads Yoan to confide in him a secret that has haunted him for a long time. Patrick falls under Roxanne's spell and wants to invite her to a restaurant.
Loïc attends his first group meeting at the Violence Protection Center. Bert, a police officer, shows up at the center, which has been the target of another act of vandalism overnight. He then goes to the shelter for abused women, where Sandrine has called about Marilyn Mercier, who has just taken refuge there. In a state of shock, she insists on giving her statement to a policewoman. Her husband, Mathieu Gingras, is questioned by investigator Gauthier. Intrigued by a call from Édith, Rafaël hurries to tell Christophe.
Gabrielle criticizes the police for not keeping a close enough eye on men at risk of committing irreparable acts. Sandrine informs her of Marilyn's precarious situation. Gabrielle doesn't hesitate to use her connections, and even her purse, to help her. Christophe visits Yoan in prison. He tries to make him understand his share of responsibility for what has happened to him. Patrick finally has dinner with Roxanne. Rajko Lazik, who has installed cameras at the Violence Protection Center, reports the kidnapping of his wife, Aleksa. Constable Harel goes to his home to take his statement.
At Rajko Lazik's house, Constable Harel has noticed clues that lead her to believe that Aleksa was being held captive and has escaped. She discusses the matter with Gabrielle and investigator Gauthier. And indeed, by chance, Sandrine discovered Aleksa, lost and distraught, near a wasteland. As a result, she now finds herself at the shelter, where Sandrine calls in an interpreter to communicate with her. Christophe receives a call for help from Junior that doesn't bode well. Gabrielle is disappointed to see that Marilyn is not inclined to fight for her rights.
Impressed by Christophe's radio interview, Marilyn goes to the Center to meet him. She wants to get to the bottom of what she's been through, and tells him about her relationship with Mathieu. Mathieu's mother, who holds Matilyn responsible for her son's death, is determined to get custody of her granddaughter. She files a report with the DPJ. Évelyne, the caseworker, meets Sandrine as part of her investigation. Roxanne receives a large bouquet of flowers that does not go unnoticed. Gabrielle informs Gauthier of her intention to lay charges against Mr. Lazik and his son.
Gabrielle continues to fight so that Marilyn doesn't lose custody of her daughter, even though her behavior does nothing to help her cause. Bert arrests Rajko and Mihailo Lazik, who don't understand what they're accused of. Rajko calls Christophe for help. He hasn't heard from his son. Christophe stands firm to ensure that Loïc continues with the program for the right reasons. He receives a visit from Marie-Liette Brisson, Junior's mother, who is very worried about him.
Gabrielle does not object to the Laziks' conditional release. Roxanne tells Christophe that she is going to visit her mother with Patrick. As Christophe heads to the detention center to meet Yoan, he is greeted by Linda Jasmin, who introduces him to the deputy director, Michel Vallée. They suggest that he offer the PCVI approach to five inmates, convicted of domestic violence, who are due to be released within a year. Christophe insists on meeting them individually before deciding on their offer. Rajko finally agrees to tell his wife the whole story. Junior continues to have a difficult time.
Gabrielle encourages Marilyn to appear before the judge to decide on the custody of her daughter. Marilyn is allowed to return home to collect her belongings. Agent Harel accompanies her. Christophe makes an appointment with Gabrielle. He wants to tell her the story of the Lazic family. At the hearing. Maxime, Marilyn's lawyer, calls Gabrielle as a witness. Gabrielle is disturbed when her uncle tells her that her father, convicted of murdering her mother, is likely to be paroled soon. Christophe witnesses the contrasting paths of Yoan, Junior and Loïc. The L'Allier family's past comes to the surface when Edith closes the house to move into a residence.
Shaken by his brother's discovery of his secret, Christophe has been out all night and is trying to come to his senses. He turns up late for his meeting with Hervé. Gabrielle thanks Maxime for hiding her condition from Philippe. Helena Lazik is discharged from hospital. She has only one wish: to return home, but Gabrielle doesn't see it that way. Sylvie Desjardins, a woman Inspector Gauthier rescued when he was on patrol, asks to see him urgently. She fears for her life and is ready to press charges against her husband, Julio Montoya.
Gabrielle and Me Lafleur clash in court over Julio's release. Fearful of relapsing into the anorexia of her youth as a result of her father's possible release, Gabrielle reunites with Dr. Windbourne, who treated her at the time. Constable Harel takes care of Noémie Cloutier, a young victim of an unusually violent assault. Christophe makes Hervé understand that he will have to be totally transparent if he hopes to regain his freedom and see his daughter again.
Sandrine tells Gauthier about Sylvie's panic attack and her intention to drop the lawsuit. Noémie is determined to return to Olivier's house, and it's not easy to dissuade her. Gabrielle has arranged for her colleague to transfer the case to her. Increasingly intrigued by Christophe, she asks Gauthier, in strict confidence, for information about him.
Christophe is busy finding a place for Maeva. He contacts Sandrine and then the Marie-Labrecque school. Tina was away, so Carolle called him back and told him they didn't want to see her again. Her stay is short-lived, as Maeva seems unable to function in society. At Gauthier's request, Christophe meets Olivier. He wants to talk to Gabrielle about his case as soon as possible. Gabrielle, who is still struggling with Julio's lawyer, Me Lafleur, has little time for him. Gauthier questions Noémie at length, trying to understand why she accepted Olivier's abuse. The mystery surrounding her deepens.
Gabrielle strongly opposes the release of Maeva's partner, Joey Breton. Convinced that her sister Noémie is on the verge of suicide, Rosalie takes her to the emergency room, where she is admitted to the psychiatric ward. Constable Harel visits her and does everything she can to encourage her. Maxime continues to be very worried about Gabrielle. Christophe has a long talk with Hervé and gets him to tell him how he really feels about his two victims. Gauthier has reason to believe that organized crime is out to get Gabrielle and Christophe.
Noémie calls Constable Harel back. Would she welcome his help? It's finally time for Julio Montoya's trial. Gabrielle and Me Lafleur take turns questioning Sylvie. Gabrielle confronts the arrogant Julio about his history with women. Me Lafleur stops at nothing to destabilize his adversary. What will the judge decide? Christophe suggests that Éloi Parenteau, who is suffering violence at the hands of his partner, accompany him to the police to lodge a complaint. Clémence Boivin goes to a veterinary clinic to save her injured dog. She claims he was hit by a car. Harel tells Gauthier that she has just brought Jacinthe Langlois, who supplies Olivier with instruments of torture, to the station.
Following a tip-off from the vet, Constable Harel takes Clémence to the station, where Gauthier questions her. Gauthier continues to pull strings with Sylvie, who keeps trying to meet him. At Roxanne's suggestion, Michelle Bérard, a young woman of Aboriginal origin, shows up to meet Christophe, hoping to replace her during her leave. Édith again threatens Christophe with revealing his secret to Rafaël. Harel suspects Clémence of being a victim of domestic violence. She tells Gauthier. Christophe and Gabrielle have an intense conversation about violent men.
Still traumatized by the photos he saw at his mother's house, Patrick asks Roxanne to resign and not to speak to Christophe under any circumstances. Agent Harel is lost in conjecture about Clémence's behavior. Réginald, Yoan's father, tells Christophe that he doesn't want to see Yoan because his wife, who is in poor health, couldn't bear it. Christophe tries to find a compromise solution. Gauthier is furious to see that Agent Painchaud is still at reception. He interrogates Clémence and her partner Arthur.
Olivier's trial is underway. Officer Harel testifies, as does Jacinthe, who sold him her torture instruments. Although she testifies by video in another room, it's a very painful experience for Noémie. Christophe confronts Michelle with information he has received about her. He meets Arthur, Clémence's partner, to get him to talk about his relationship with her. Hervé learns that his parole hearing has been moved up. He asks Christophe to put him on the list of people he wants to attend.
Officer Harel asks Christophe to meet Noémie to try and encourage her. She brings Clémence up to date on the remarks her partner, Arthur, has made about her. Gauthier is finally able to interview Amada, who is improving. Michelle meets Nicolas Caron, who has just been released after serving his sentence for the manslaughter of his wife. Gabrielle notices that Gauthier is showing signs of fatigue.
Michelle encourages Amada to lodge a complaint about the abuse she has suffered. Christophe goes to find Yoan in prison. He has good news for him. Nicolas would like the Center to speed up the processing of his case so that he can regain custody of his daughter. Michelle is distraught when she reads the press file on Yoan's crime, which brings back painful memories. Christophe elicits new confidences from Hervé in the run-up to his court hearing.
