I got into this show in the 2nd half of 2020 when I was trying to look for Hindi-language media to complement what I was learning through textbooks and a variety of methods. I had seen memes of this show beforehand but no actual episodes; I decided to click on one just for fun and I was instantly hooked.
For like the entire summer that year, I was watching multiple episodes a day, laughing hysterically, and having a great time. Most of the episodes have English subtitles, so I tended to read those more but as I got better at Hindi I was able to turn them off, understand the characters and this way get listening practice. Even though they're all voiced by the same guy, each of the main characters is supposedly from like a different part of India, which is good for tuning your ears to different local accents/varieties of the language.
Unfortunately, that's where the utility kind of stops. For native Hindi speakers, this show doesn't really teach anything and is arguably a waste of time. The characters spend each episode doing a bunch of dumb stuff and while some may find it entertaining, it doesn't really teach any life lessons, skills or stuff like reading and math or science. For foreign children, I would say it's actually something to *avoid* - the English/French/Spanish subtitles have atrocious grammar and they're very-obviously Google Translated. Watching too much of this could disrupt their language ability.
So, I would say, if you're looking to practice'learn Hindi then you can check this out; otherwise, especially if you're a young non-Indian kid, then stay away. If you're an edgy teen who likes it for the memes, go do something useful.

I simply don't know why people like such a potato quality animation like this one. I don't think kids can tell difference between a quality content and a potato quality content. Because of it's massive support from those kids, Channel Nickelodeon of India airs too much Motu Patlu. Heck, when I was younger, I used to see this series too. Motu Patlu has some interesting characters. But it totally sucks. Some times the episodes don't make any sense. I think Motu Patlu is just a lazy way to make money. No matter what, smaller kids will see this junk. It's not even enjoyable and funny. It makes me so angry when I look at any character.
Animation - 0/10 Totally junk.
Story - 3/10 Doesn't have any continuation and doesn't make any sense.
Appeal - 1/10 I don't see any reasons to watch this junk other than some funny dialogues.
Overall, Motu Patlu is hated by many people and Nickelodeon India is ruined. It is just a overrated junk. Straight up junk. Anyone with simple knowledge can tell about weirdness of this animated series.

Story - 2/10 I dont know how people even be relating to these
Animation - 2/10. Come on India we can do better than this, absolutely garbage animation.
Voice Acting and Dialogues - 1/10. Well u know why our country's lacking behind this much? Well because children these days actually enjoy these dad jokes. I mean I respect others and I think I wud also enjoy if this was the best I've ever watched. But no thanks, I've watched some great Anime like Tokyo Ghoul, Attack on Titan, Naruto , DBZ, Parasyte-The Maxim and some others. My heart cries if I watch a glimpse of this show. Ban it's creators once and for all, dont turn ur kids into disgusting 'Indian Weebs' it wud be way way way worse than Weebs we're used to.

I'm surprised that this show has so many negative reviews. I think it's pretty funny, and although the animation is not up to Hollywood standards, it is pretty good. The violence and general style makes me think more of the old Looney Tunes than anything you would see in an American children's show today. It is not like American shows that have an educational lesson built in, this is just for entertainment, and I find that it could entertain both kids and easily pleased adults like myself.
I find it especially funny that Motu and Patlu are usually depicted as good people who try to help everyone out, but whenever they get a little bit of power, they always use it to do harm - like beating up people they have grudges against in the Self Defense episode. Again, it reminds me of the Looney Tunes - sometimes Bugs or Daffy would fight back against someone who wronged them, but sometimes they would just go looking for trouble, and yet you still root for them either way.

A truly amazing series of two friends who risk it all to save the world. By the end I was in tears. I would recommend this show to everyone. Not just Theo story but the visuals as well. The soundtrack is beautifully composed and the attention to detail is breathtaking. 11/10

I highly don't recommend this show to anyone. It has horrible english grammar and it is such a bad influence for kids.
It also has terrible animation.
The graphics is terrible, it is like just a potato graphics.
The Story plot is a mess and sensless.
The characters like Dr. Jatka, ghasitaram, motu and patlu are very very terrifying and I get irritated by watching this.
The very terrific character is John the Don he is a villian or comedian I don't know that.
Overall it makes the kids to think like a kids , watch phenirs and ferb, Doremone that makes kids to imagine big things.
Don't watch this cartoon friends

After committing multiple war crimes in the Yugoslavia territory, I thought my life was done for. All of my family members hated me including my wife and 2 kids. I was trying everything to get my family back as I could not live without them. It the wait for me was finally over as soon as I found this show and helped improve my life for the better. After watching the show I kept hearing powerful and demonic voices in my head. Because of them, they told me what to do in order to live free and save my marriage within the processes. Since then my family is all together now and watch this blessing on a daily basis and give our offering to it. If you are ever in a need of to be forgiven, you must watch immediately. The only way I can repay this show and what it has given me is offering my life and soul to it's ominous presence.

Motu Patlu is a show that you need to watch to understand, it is truly a beautiful experience when you watch it for the first time, this show has breathtaking visuals, amazing character development, and an intriguing story. It blends serious moments and comedy in every episode, the comedy relief is Motu and his love for samosas, though one time it was used as a plot device in one episode. Every other part of the episode is character development and story. Motu is a very brave character with a strong sense of justice, he symbolizes male dominance and power, Patlu on the other hand is a weaker and more smarter character, but he is very reasonable and has a strong sense of justice like Motu. The main villain of the series is Jon The Don, he symbolizes greed and everything wrong with the world, he is a very evil and greedy character, he scares innocent civilians with guns and steals samosas from Motu, there are a lot of fight scenes between Jon and Motu, every one of them are beautifully animated, the characters interact with the environment, for example, in one episode Motu threw a car at Jon and Jon threw it to the side using his super-strength. In conclusion, Motu Patlu is an amazing action-comedy series, you should go watch it right now.
This show is completely trash. It is highly overrated. The plot makes no sense and is not at all relatable. The animation sucks literally. The story is stupid and silly. The characters are so terrible. The plot is almost same and quite predictable. This show is only watched by kids because they can't differentiate between good content and rubbish content. Watching this show will make your kids dumb. The quality of animation is so bad that it makes me puke. It has so unrealistic body movements. Terrible textures. Very unreal. PIXAR , DISNEY, AND DREAMWORKS ARE GENERATIONS AHEAD IN ANIMATION
animation 2/10
Story 3/10
Characters 1/10
Dialogues 2/10

I grown up watching Mowgli and Disneys cartoons like Duck Tales, Tales Pin, Aladdin, The little Mermaid, Silly Simphony, Mickey Mouse, Donald Duck, Goofy, Pluto, Gummy bears and Hercules.
I feel pity for Indian Kids who watch idiotic cartoons Motu Patlu, Inspector Singham, Doremon and chota bheem.
Even Rockos Mordern life, Cat Dog, spongebob were better than this.
Please parents unsubscribe these channels because it will make your kids dumb.

Today's kids have totally lost their childhood and Nickelodeon India has completely lost their reputation the past few years.
When this show first started it was based off a comic strip and only had limited number of episodes, just like any other show. But the channel felt they can make huge amount of money by making infinite number of episodes, infinite number of TV movies with no quality at all. The newer episodes have them in a city based location now! Just milking as much as they can out of this show!
Nickelodeon has been garbage in India for like the last 15 years. It's not owned by Viacom but by TV18 which is part of Reliance Industries. Never ever did they care about Nick originals from USA instead running some other random shows mostly kids anime (which weren't bad, but were not originals either) and no teen shows. Seems like they weren't able to afford them... now with all these local shows on the channel it is completely ruined. Nobody I know likes it, and today's kids don't know there are better shows out there. Cause the same shows literally air 24/7.
Quality of kids TV has degraded so much. How can they call this childhood?

Indian animation Industry majorly target kids and yes kids do watch thier content but when it comes to quality it lacks in terms of Animation and storytelling , they majorly focus on a character who eat samosas to beat villans same concept is taken from another cartoon name as choota bheem and that cartoon is also rip off of popular cartoon poppeye the sailor man who used to eat palak(leafy vegetables) to gain power , Indian Cartoon dont have any uniqueness they based on a same repetive storyline and character never changes it remains as it is for years.

There have been a few shows over the past century that have defined and modified television for modern audiences. Among these, I Love Lucy, Cheers, Friends, Seinfeld, The Office, Breaking Bad, The Wire, Mad Men, Game of Thrones (Seasons 1-6), The Simpsons, and finally, without a doubt, Motu Patlu. This modern, avant-grade piece of television provides an interesting look at the Indian psyche, and modern relationships between adult men. Furthermore, Furfuri Nagar represents a microcosm of society as a whole. What really brings Motu Patlu above other mediocre cartoons is the care and humanity that the writers and animators have put into each episode. The dialogue is meticulously chosen, and each word enhances the viewing experience. The comedic timing of Motu Patlu is near impeccable. Never has a show made me laugh uncontrollably as Motu Patlu has.
In the coming years, Motu Patlu will not only be seen as a defining piece of television, but also as an important piece of human history. Motu's love for samosas represents human lust and desire, and the complicated wants and needs of every human being. John the Don as a foil to the iconic duo represents the struggles that all humans must face in their rote, day-to-day lives. And finally, the celebrated "D se Dab" spin-off embodies the roles that kids inevitably fall into as they grow up. WIth all the complicated themes and relatable journeys that the characters find themselves in, it's not hard to see why this show is beloved to so many (1.34 billion). Because Motu Patlu truly answers the question: "What does it mean to be human?"
I leave you with a quote from Motu, uttered in Season 2 Episode 11: "It looks like we don't have any Quotes for this title yet. Be the first to contribute! Just click the "Edit page" button at the bottom of the page or learn more in the Quotes submission guide."

If you must know, I've just finished watching the first 100 episodes and I can definitely say this is one amongst the likes of One Punch Man and JoJo's Bizarre Adventure. Make sure to read the manga first though!
