Motu and Patlu were included in a Nickelodeon India commercial advertising GuruCool, and the commercial became a short-lived meme.
It is based on the Indian comic book titled "Lotpot" which features Motu and Patlu.
It is one of the most popular cartoons in India, popular enough that it has 10 TV movies and a theatrical movie of it.
Voice artist Sourabh Chakraborty give voice to all characters of the show's original Hindi version.
The English-dubbed version of the series does not include a theme song.
